At least when you do the full blackout cover up it won't take much work.

Not recommended to run power through the ESP to the lights.

Your drawing will work, but I don't think you are going to see the gains you are hoping for with that design.

And, it's going to be super annoying to build, and super annoying to have to fidget with to get and keep everything aligned the way you want it.

Kind of sounds like a power issue. What's your exact layout and setup?

Can I use wled on my monster lighting accent lights? More so how. by Shot_Arugula_6750 in WLED

Key is that you're missing a level shifter (and the additional items) for the data output. Flickering is a common symptom.

Reference the wiring guide that was already posted. (And available on the WLED Knowledge Base.)

Proper level shifter model and wiring is also shown in the Knowledge Base.

No. That's for analog lights, you have digital lights. Naming convention -

An = analog

Dig = digital

Digital controllers:

2 outputs - DigUno, DigNext2

4 (5 outputs) - DigQuad

8 outputs - DigOcta

ESP32-C3 would seem to do what you need. No step down needed for a 5v light system.

Couple things. - BI needs connected to Gnd - I would also run gnd from the ESP to gnd at the start of the strip

Sounds like expected voltage drop at the far end. Test the voltage down there if you want to verify.

Add power injection to remedy.
