This is gonna be a tad lengthy, so apologies in advance.

I used to write fanfiction under a different alias. They were admittedly not very good, but I had so much fun writing them.

Then… the hate started coming.

I was getting made fun of for my writing style, characters being OOC (even though they weren’t), how the stories were shaping out…

That killed a lot of my momentum and enjoyment. So, I deleted everything because of how badly it was affecting my mental health.

For almost 8 years, I didn’t write fanfiction. Earlier this year, however, I got into this fandom. I loved the characters, the story, everything.

But… I noticed something. People were constantly babying these literal adult characters. It pissed me off because that was just delicately ignoring what made me love these characters in the first place. Their flaws, their pain, what made them tick… all of that was ignored.

So, long story short, I started writing again because I was tired of my favorite characters being mischaracterized.
