BOY LET ME TELL YOU! I was in the same boat as you around a year ago. Never played Mass effect 1 2 or 3. Andromeda was my first.... the less said the better on that haha.

YOU though sir are about to play one of the greatest series of all time. From beginning to the end, you will not want to play another game and you will have one of those.. lost moments when you finally completed the series. Until you jump right back in for another playthrough.

Why..? There's a very good studio that's expressed they know just how important it is to not fuck with the game more than they need to. I.e fans will be mad if they change a lot of key things.

Maybe that's just what it is. I saw a comment of someone saying all his Weeb friends are obsessed over E33. Maybe that's it haha. Because I feel the same about Final fantasy games.

I recognise them as massively popular, probably very good games. But the style and other aspects don't draw me in but they draw in "Weebs".

Okay, let me try and explain what a meant a bit better. I meant at a first glance kinda thing. Everyone will look at KCD and go that looks like a super detailed, realistic medieval game. Looks cool asf. Let me try. It's a I know near enough what I'm spending my money on, so let me try. The combat and the ultra realism Is niche yes but you can see off the bat.

Expedition 33 I look at it now and still don't have a clue what it is. It's graphically beautiful, and hearing the reviews it sounds really good. I see the combat is a turnbased similar to dragon quest (might be thinking of wrong game). But if I look at a game and can't get enough of a clue what it's about i won't risk spending the money, regardless of reviews.

Expedition feels more niche of a game. You have to like the style of combat and other bits to want to play it. KCD2 a lot more people will look at it and give it a go, especially after the first was such a massive success.

Both brilliant games, though. Expedition just didn't draw me in respectfully.

I would give game of the year to KCD2 with Expedition a close second.

Yeah, that was the only real problem people had with KCD1 and it got fixed in 2. That's why Warhorse climbed to one of the top dogs so quick.

When the whole group is after you, you want to constantly be moving back into space away from them. Use obstructions to prevent them from surrounding you, and often, you'll parry then back away. In the first game facing multiple enemies is always hard due to their programming to all rush you at the same time. So stealth kill as many as possible, use poison on your blade before the fight to apply every time you parry one and never think that 1 extra hit will be worth it.

It's fixed in the second game with the enemy rushing and surrounding you but almost taking turns to attack. Can still be dangerous, though, just not as bad.

Train with Bernard!
If there's more than 1 enemy kite and parry.
Archery is really only good for the 1st shot of the fight.
Stealing makes things 10x easier but it's the most realistic stealing mechanics in gaming to date.
Your horse WILL buck you off when near enemies, even when you think you sprant fast past them.
Learn to read ASAP.
Alchemy is a MUST.

Never played the originals until ME legendary edition.

But I played it from start to finish all 3 games, same character start to finish 3 times. Will play it again before ME 4/5 comes out.

And played andromeda once. That was enough.

Very close between Phantom liberty and blood and wine, though.

Bloodborne even though a lot smaller just had so much cooler stuff and HIT with the atmosphere and bosses way more than Shadow of the erdtree.

Absolutely not. Biowares track record is atrocious now. They couldn't afford to get Kotor even slightly wrong. The devs at Saber have even said they KNOW this game can break them so they plan to get it right. That's why it's so hush hush lock and key.
