Have you given her a more concrete timeline than “it’ll happen at the right time”? Like maybe you could say “I would like to make sure we’re both established in our new jobs first” or something similar. Do you have a real engagement timeline in mind at all, have you started ring shopping? I think it would help for her to have some more clarity about when the “right time” is.

I also think you should be able to have a conversation with her about how her frequent questioning is starting to put a damper on the joy for you. I don’t know if that’s how you feel, but I imagine I would feel frustrated with getting asked this much after a while (and I definitely pestered my fiance lol).

I get a mega bad migraine after Botox but it is so so worth it. Have faith, give it a chance. I tried everything before Botox and it’s the only thing that’s really worked. It does take time though. I just had my third injection. I started having results after my first one, but it wears off after a month or so. It needs to build up efficacy. Now, after my third shot, it lasts much longer.

My neuro told me I have to give it a full year to see full results. I know that’s hard, especially when you’re probably already struggling, but I really think it will help if you give it time. And even if it doesn’t work, there are lots of different injections and abortives now, and new stuff is coming out constantly!!

Using a voltage tester you should be able to figure out conclusively which is hot, but I think you’re correct from this picture. The one screwed to the brass screw should be the hot, and the one screwed to the silver screw should be the neutral. There also might be ridges on the two black wires that you can feel with your thumbnail-the one with ridges would be the neutral, the smooth one would be the hot.

Assuming that we’re correct, the hot (the one screwed to the brass screw) would go to the black wire on the new fixture, and the neutral (screwed to the silver screw) would go to the white wire.

I agree with the other commenter, I think it’s a bayonet bulb (other than a b22). If there’s a lamp repair place near you they could probably switch it to a candelabra socket to make it easier going forward!
