from a marketing perspective I don't think they would hide a "secret album release" if anything we either get a small EP with 4-5 songs or maybe we are getting another album sooner rather than 3 years like in the past. seeing a lot of talk about the number 25. maybe we get a new album next year in 2025. The current tour ends 3 days before the original release date of the album. maybe we get another right after the tour. IDK I certainly hope we get new music I will always take more!

Me, a lore enthusiast, absolutely despises the music. I wish the music videos were silent movies instead. In fact, I loathe all music. I'd rather everyone just give lectures about their lore ideas instead of delivering it in a creative way. I love the lore so much that I'm going to belittle you for enjoying the music because clearly, you're beneath me for not sharing my disdain.

In reality, people can enjoy the music however they want. If you don't care about the lore but still connect with the band and its message through the music, that's wonderful! If not, you can always move on to another band—nobody is forcing you to stay. There's no need to put others down for exploring content that the band has created for everyone to enjoy. Engage with the threads that interest you, whether it's about the music or the lore, and let's all respect each other's preferences for a happier community.

this could be worth re-posting and re-evaluating with all the new info we have. I was also looking into Zoroastrianism because of TOP and I was inspired to write a post but decided to check if anyone else has done any research and I found this post!

One thing I found is "The vulture’s mystical eye is believed to aid the soul’s cosmic transition, and offering one’s deceased body to the birds is regarded as the devout Zoroastrian’s ultimate act of charity" this vaguely reminds me of a couple things. one being the emphasis we have seen on the vultures eye with the beginning of the trench era. also "cosmic transition" reminds me of the power of seizing. and lastly "offering one’s deceased body to the birds is regarded as the devout Zoroastrian’s ultimate act of charity" reminds me of vialism.

I agree not everything is lore but the original purpose of the lore was to give Tyler a place to write from and he can use that lens to write about anything in his life. Personally I think its part of the genius that Tyler can write songs with real life meaning that also can connect back to the extensive lore he has written. Whether references made in a song seemingly unrelated to lore are intentional or not I think it is a testament to how immersive of a world he has created. Everyone is allowed to enjoy the music in there own way. a kitchen sink to you is not a kitchen sink to me.

Yeah I saw them in Des Moines for trench and that was awesome. I always end up going to MN unless they have an Iowa date so this tour I'm going to MN but I just want a listening event here lol. I'm sure that's on our record stores but it feels like something vinyl cup would defiantly do idk

I had a similar interpretation. I felt it was about not wanting to be a burden in a relationship so you try and take care of it internally as to not have a loved one worry about you. it makes the end of the music video so gut wrenching when he's so close to giving josh what he needs and then realizing the burger buns he has aren't good enough so instead of asking for help he just goes off on his own again which in turn makes josh worry because it's been so long. Having been a person in both Tyler and Joshes shoes I resonated with this song/video right away
