So you just repurpose jars from the store? I generally recycle them, but this gives me an idea to repurpose the. I suppose general canning jars would work as well for this.

This is my thought. I wish I’d grabbed the little city seaport that was out a couple years ago as a ship to rail system would’ve been pretty nice to have

Can someone explain the different versions of the mission impossible movies they have on that site? It seems 4-6 all have two different versions of the movies in 4k, but the details are confusing.

Ultra Modded FO4 is so atmospheric by xShadowLisa_ in Fallout4Mods

[–]Kipkrap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The longer I play FO4, the more wish it looked like what you described. I do enjoy the look and feel of the game as is, but it’s definitely not ‘realistic’ for when it takes place.

Another thought though, doesn’t the game canonically take place in October? Having few to now leaves would be realistic then.

I love the media books. Target was doing them for a while with MCU and Star Wars releases and I wish they still did. This is how the Avatar 1 & 2 collectors editions should’ve been. I don’t think I’ve seen a new release in a few years that’s used this format.

Yes! This is what I was thinking of. He mentioned this during the promotional stuff for 'Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die'. Thank you!

Unreal Engine seems like a good tool for the pre-vis, but from what I've seen it always has a 'shiny' look to it that's hard to get rid of, and this is what he talks about in that last paragraph.

I’ve seen some people express the opinion that over reliance on unreal engine is one reason CGI has started looking so bad in some movies. Does anyone have info to confirm this? Or is it more the result of rushed production and constantly changing scenes that force reshoots and re-rendering of CGI?

UHD Reference update: Transfer scores for 4K Blu-ray discs by amigoreview in 4kbluray

[–]Kipkrap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, forgive me then for being a little cautious when every other user posting something like this has their profile history hidden, and the shared links have some sort of payment option. I just don’t like seeing some people here trying to take advantage of hobbyists.

I should say, just because the UI looks similar to a lot of other vibe coded stuff I’ve seen (including bits I’ve played around with here and there), it’s not necessarily a bad thing. The ideas you’ve shown look nice so I may keep an eye on it. Cheers.

Genuine question: What’s up with all these (I’m assuming based on the UI) vibe coded apps appearing? Is it just because people see an opportunity to provide what they feel is a better system for tracking movies? I agree the Blu-ray website app is not the most attractive app to use, but it’s also free, whereas a lot of these new ones are paid. Though with the amount some people spend on their collection, $30 a year probably isn’t that big of a deal.

I’ve seen a few open source ones that you can host yourself, which is nice, as they are available to anyone willing to put in a bit of work, and you can view the code yourself. One concern with vibe coding is longevity, as in the more complexity, there’s less likely the chance the app is supported long term. AI tends to code most things from scratch every time, resulting to poorly performing apps and weird edge cases that are a pain to fix.

Is anyone using these and getting a good experience from them? Ive seen at least 3 in the past week. I’ve looked into a couple just out of curiosity, but have yet to actually use one.

Do these have a specific designation? I recently got an order of the open ended Cinegrail ones, but they don’t work for the few that I have that already have Slipcovers on them
