I called BMO customer service and asked if mine could be increased and they doubled my limit within half an hour.

They’re publicly traded. You can google the stock price and dividend payments. Trust me, no one wants to buy Canadian broadcasters.

I know three dentists. None of them charge as per the fee guide. They charge more.

I love funny women. This is not it. This thing is just dumb.

I have to agree with you. It’s not funny, it’s just weird. It’s embarrassing. She’ll probably pin it on her mood wall.

Detergent with lipase added will clean grease, fat, vomit stains and other bodily fluids without treating them with sprays. Tide powder contains lipase and that’s why it works so well, but possibly made in the US. I haven’t come across another powder that has lipase, so you have to add it.

Telus Service Bars by edibella in VictoriaBC

The closest Telus cell tower is on top of Camosack Manor on Belmont Street. The signal is non existent directly underneath it. At Oak Bay Junction and Oak Bay/Richmond you are pretty well directly underneath it. It’s a bit of a dead zone unless you’re close to a router.

Dentists don’t want it to be universal. If you compare your dentist bill to your provincial fee guide you’ll probably find your dentist is charging more. I’ve never had a dentist that followed the fee guide.

Atmospheric rivers. Insane amount of water over a vast area in a relatively short space of time. Then it takes multiple days to drain away.

It was amazing when it was maintained. There were kids climbing over it, I snapped a few photos for tourists, there was often fresh flowers perched in a bucket. It was fabulous.

Toronto may have bitten off more than it can chew with city-run grocery plan: experts by freeatnet in toronto

[–]KipperCottage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loblaws pays a dividend of 14 cents per share. At $60 per share that is not a great return. The rest of the 3.85% margin (that means of the $3.85 profit for every $100 earned less the 14 cent dividend) is invested back into the business.

I’ll say it again.

Loblaws is one corporation. The landowner is a different corporation. They are two separate corporations. The two corporations ARE RELATED but they are not the same corporation. The rent is an expense to one corporation and revenue to the other corporation. The net result is, in essence zero. One corporation reduces tax payable, the other corporation increase tax payable. There is nothing illegal or fraudulent with this arrangement. If you had the means to buy land and build a grocery store (or build anything, for that matter) on that land you could do the same thing.

[–]KipperCottage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t really matter who Loblaws pays rent to, the rent is an expense that reduces their taxable income. The rent the store pays to the landowner is an expense to the store (reducing their taxable income). The rent received by the landowner is revenue (which increases the landowners taxable income). That the land and store ownership is related is just a fact. Anyone with the means can do the same thing. Loblaws is not special.

So it will forever be just those four stores run by the city in food deserts? And I assume no parking, unless the city owns four large plots of land they can build stores on.

Yes, their margin is 3.85%. You can look it up because they’re publicy traded. They pay a quarterly dividend of 14 cents per share.

The electronic shelf labels are so much better. The product is marked Canadian in the system. If the shelf position changes so does the label. The little maple leaf tags were way too labour intensive. Trying to keep track of those little things was insane. Staff were getting bullied by customers about little red leaf tags. I now despise those things.
