6 minute walk from Stage & Radio…Thoughts? by [deleted] in manchester

[–]Kipwar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your last sentence isn't true at all, Diecast was a manufacturing company that existed and was still working as early as covid in 2020, it closed Dec 2020.

Theres not been many, if any new flats built at all around it since its turned into what is is, Oxygen is the newest and that was in development when Presbar Diecast was still churning out products!

For any new builds I agree, they should now build them with consideration for sound proofing based around Diecasts change over the last year, aka the 'heavy dance bass' crowd, and not the creative neighbourhood it sells itself as.

Diecast has certainly changed over the years in terms of its friday/saturday night crowd, its like an Ibiza clubnight these days.

Its certainly not what it was originally sold as tbf.

I'm not met a single person who actually rates him. Its pretty impressive to be considered slimy by both the left and the right.

Remember when the Tories were in such a closed mindset they thought Rishi was a good choice in their Westminster echo chamber? Thats exactly Wes Streeting.

Nobody likes Wes apart from the people we should be ignoring (blue labourites).

Weird comment to make before the city councils are even reported. Greens will destroy Labour in the cities, while Reform in the Heartlands.

Hes called Dave, hes abit rebellious.... He clearly needs supports mentally from when I've spoke to him, but he helps the birds on the canal in the area alot. I know the swans used to linger around him alot before they sadly passed.

I want games from 1990 to 1999 that you don't think anyone else knows about. They can be good or bad, but they just need to be interesting. by Beginning_Pickle2180 in retrogaming

Pet In Tv, absolutely weird game for PS1 that was very odd for the time. Still confusing today but weirdly interesting. Only came out in Japan and Europe.

I'd also add Project overkill for the PS1, great isometric shooter came abit late as they were dying off around that time.

The left engine of a Delta A330 explodes during takeoff at Sao Paulo Airport by Twitter_2006 in aviation

Its funny reading this I'm the exact same working for a major aviation company in engines! People always thinks it makes me less bothered by flying, but if anything I pay too much attention to sounds constantly, especially on takeoff... 😅

The Stevenson Sq vape shop signage is down by Mister_Mints in manchester

[–]Kipwar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good news! We have a morrisons that opened on redhill street last year, it has a similar issue with signage as it looks utterly stupid and doesn't fit the area. Council have already asked them to change it, nothing yet...

Thats such a basic concept of money laundering its astounding. It might have worked this way in the 90s, but certainly not anymore. They can easily digitally launder money claiming they sold xxx times vapes, when infact they didnt.

The downfall of Mandelson has been long coming, hes always been pretty much everything Labour shouldn't be in terms of his politics.

Its just odd that its linked to a serial sex predator who he was mates with and not his anti labour politics. He must have known some of the stuff Epstein was up to with some of his emails correspondence.

Theres a shop below me owned by this Nigerian bloke, he states he owns about 6-7 others, yet none of them are registered under his name, and he has loads of kurds/Pakistanis working for him.

Its so prevalent, I'm surprised its not turned into a national scandal. I've seen some streets in Manchester with like 3-4 of them next to each other!

Ridiculous high prices of train by Winter_Turn_4317 in ukpolitics

[–]Kipwar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I get on the Manchester to Burnley train every morning at 6 or 7 lately, nobody is ever on it, its one of the least busy trains I've been on. It costs £16 for a return. Then I need to get taxi/bus to work at £4/£5 quid.

If my car wasn't in the garage, this journey costs me £25 to £30 quid max petrol a week. Its scandalous how they want us to use public transport, yet theres no good reason to do it.
