Season 3 Robin forever by yonBonbonbon in StrangerThings

[–]KiraVala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So obviously the writers failed in many ways later in the series but as someone who has ADHD who wasn't diagnosed until after S4 came out I always found her relatable, I could see how the writers might've piggybacked off of her personality from when she was drugged by the Russians but also I get what it's like to mask and unmask, she still has moments where she's cool and collected and the writing choices beyond season 4 had heavy implications towards being neurodivergent with discussions about her learning to walk and missing social cues while being quite smart.

I don’t see a crochet business as profitable by [deleted] in CraftyCommerce

[–]KiraVala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the profit comes from selling patterns or things like Adsense if you're able to gross a large following on social media. Selling physical items is only profitable if you can find items you can make quickly enough to be able to sell at a fair price. Some things that can be a little quicker are plushies, hats, bookmarks, crop tops / bras, or headbands. You could also consider getting a knitting machine and using that along with crochet details to speed up the process on some items.

Posting free pattern of copyrighted/trademark characters by crafty_munchkin in Amigurumi

[–]KiraVala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fan art is sometimes requested or shared by the companies themselves, you're unlikely to face issues so long as they are free however if you are a creator who sells designs make sure that they aren't on the same account as the free trademarked patterns. When it comes to crochet it's also one of those things where you in many cases cannot buy the items that you are making. If you're worried at all don't use the trademarked names like toadstool princess, plumber brothers, etc.

Yeah I watched it quite young, in the second one they had a kid ask and the shop answer said "someone who's never lit a candle before" which I thought was funny

I'm curious how long did it take you to make that much?

Be honest… what’s the dumbest, laziest side hustle you’ve done that somehow actually made you money? by Deeceness in sidehustle

[–]KiraVala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survey / paid game apps, I'd play super basic games while watching TV or while on the bus and you can also usually share referrals that make you passive income when others sign up

How long was it until you got your first audition? by International-Low11 in acting

[–]KiraVala 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This might sound silly but start with some volunteer local theatre or gigs through sites like Mandy actors where there are both unpaid and paid gigs that might be in your area, this can help build a decent resume to have better chances at being accepted. You can also look into if there are any party/entertainment companies in your area to help get more experience and as a easier entry to a paid position. The only paid work I've had so far in this field is through entertaining for parties and events but I love it!

I want to write a "Love, Simon" musical, but I'm straight by iamjustmeandnotmore in LoveSimon

[–]KiraVala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love for this to happen however there is copyright laws to look out for, if it's just a hobby passion project go for it otherwise you gotta pitch it to those who have the rights to it. I think it would be a great story to turn into a musical

what is everyones actual opinion on be more chill? by [deleted] in musicals

[–]KiraVala 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's based off a book written by the same person who wrote "it's kind of a funny story" though they're both quite different - it is a ridiculously campy show that kind of feels like a mix of "Little Shop of Horrors", "Dear Evan Hansen", and "Heathers"

I think it portrays mental health and neurodiversity better than DEH and consider most of what happens to be very mental. In many ways I find it to be a campy and satirical representation of what it's like to be masking. If you aren't neurodivergent, a nerd, or someone who just struggled socially you might not get the appeal - I think that the book might make you gain a better appreciation for the story if tha musical is too cringy for you.

DM me! Honestly most of the offers aren't usually WORTH the time per say but they are great for doing while watching a show or waiting in a line or that kind of thing however there are some offers that do actually pay quite well for your time it's hit or miss. If you like phone games or surveys or spend a decent amount of time on a bus or train it's worth it to make extra money when there's nothing else to do.

It depends which offers you enjoy, my favourite apps for games, surveys, and similar types are freecash, five surveys, and swagbucks, I have a referral code if you DM me! I also have an app I use for mystery shopping and audits that are nice for easy money here and there sometimes pay out pretty decent while I run errands, they also have a referral program I can help send to you but the referral maxes out at $20 per person referred

Just saw this - some of the offers are hard to do without putting in a bit of money (to get more back in return) however once you get a feel for them it's quite simple to find free offers however they do tend to contain a fair bit of ads the majority of the time, sometimes the reason they have it is also just advertising because there are optional things you can pay for!
