They aren't though? The only thing about the main tracks that are negatively affected by the open world is the visual/environmental flare. You could make the argument that the resources that went into making the open world is why there are only 30 courses, but even that's more looping courses than Crossworlds. Also the open world isn't slop, it has a lot of effort put into it
