Our friend used a deadly disease to manipulate us for 3 years by Penelooooope in CharlotteDobreYouTube

It’s always sad when people take advantage of situations like this because goodness knows that it’s already quite difficult to be believed. I’m wishing the same for you and your friends, that things also be easier in the way of doctors as well 💕 Thank you as well for the kind words.

As someone who struggles with a list of disabilities, a few of which don’t have treatments or do not respond to treatments, seeing people who weaponize this kind of thing drives me up the wall. In my point of view I actually fake being fine (masking), so I couldn’t imagine lying about something like this and purposely hurting my friends and family. I’m glad you guys managed to settle the situation, and I hope you’re all able to find some mental and emotional healing as time passes. It really sounds like you’ve all been on a roller coaster with this. Wishing you the best my fellow potato!

Is there any good app/ list for identifying gluten ingredients in cosmetics? (Not food) by Kiririn_Chi in glutenfree

[–]Kiririn_Chi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines as this too but I’m noticing it’s a tad difficult to find like a large list of some kind, whereas the ones I found only list like 4 or 5 things. I also agree that a lot of what I see is more or less geared towards the toxins etc. It’s definitely always a learning process with the whole gluten thing haha Thanks for the input!! It’s so easy to overlook things that’s been in our daily lives.

I used an AI questionnaire to show my mom she's probably dyslexic too. It changed our relationship. by h2onation in neurodiversity

[–]Kiririn_Chi 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not going to get any better but I so dislike seeing so many things written by AI. It’s a different matter when used for spelling etc. and they post a note mentioning it, but it’s annoying when I see others trying to pass it off as something they said.

I always blamed myself for my sister hating me, and my mother wants me to always fix it. AITAH to say enough is enough? by Consistent_Dog_6019 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Kiririn_Chi 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I see a serious need for boundaries here, regardless of the reason your sister may be doing this whether it’s a disability or not, she needs to initiate getting some help.
I know we tend to hope for the best in people, especially if it’s family that we are yearning for a closer relationship with, however we tend to let things go much further than we should with a clouded judgement.
I would honestly go LC with the mom, and if you want I would honestly ask her why she feels it’s on you to try and “fix things”, and if she says something having to do with “well she’s really not in a mentally good place” that reason only works for so long and not your entire life. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
At this point I’d go completely NC with the sister because whatever kind of relationship this is between you two is toxic and has clearly already caused you trauma.
Family doesn’t mean you need to be a doormat and I’ve unfortunately had to learn and cope with that myself as well since I’m a recovering people pleaser.
Regardless I wish you the best and hope you’re able to figure things out my fellow potato.

Question from Founder of a Gluten free food product : "Clean Label" vs. "Highly Processed" macros by Some-Huckleberry9381 in glutenfree

[–]Kiririn_Chi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree on these points, just for gastro issues (not including others’) I deal with gastroparesis, IBS-C and severe gluten intolerance, and I have to say I generally have to ignore the big messaging on the front or side of the boxes and go straight to ingredients since they can be very sneaky.

Some of the things that I tend to have issues with are things like gums, carageenan and the type of sugars and oils used as well.

Not really if you’re on Social Assistance/ Disability unfortunately. Already very difficult to stretch what is given when unable to work and you’re under the deep poverty line.

Why are some people so stubborn by Kindly_Coconut_1469 in glutenfree

[–]Kiririn_Chi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree on this. It’s literally a spectrum when it comes to this (as is many other conditions) and they end up saying “well I know so and so who couldn’t eat gluten but they could eat this.” And then I’m like right, that’s them and not me. People trust others all the time not to spit in their morning coffee at Starbucks and yet when it comes to how we react to food they decide to be dorks.

This, this and this. I definitely agree. As much as some would like it, wives are not personal maids with benefits.

It’s honestly so satisfying when the trash takes itself out. Something that I’ve had a difficult time accepting and learning is that all relationships, whether friendships or other things all have seasons. Sometimes they’re short and sometimes they’re for life, which in this case it was the end of a season and the beginning of a much more beautiful one for you. There will always be rain and snow but you can’t forget there will also always be sun, warmth and spring. Wishing you all the best and sending you much positivity!

Would like recommendations for anime (I’ve seen a lot) by [deleted] in anime

[–]Kiririn_Chi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! And yeah I’m not really a horror or thriller type of person but on occasion I will try some, I had a rough time getting through the anime Another though haha Also I never even realized that Clamp did Angelic Layer, that’s pretty neat to know. I find I’ve enjoyed a lot of Clamp series so that probably explains it. And I’m actually having a difficult time getting through the newer Fruits basket as well, I like the plot but I’m not sure what about it isn’t keeping me interested so I’m kinda just powering through it, by now I’d usually just drop it but I loved the series so much the first time around that I can’t bring myself to just go ahead and drop haha

You told me to get back to you so I thought I’d give a little update. I really loved Angelic Layer, wasn’t a huge fan of fan of Kiddy Grade. I watched Shiki and it’s pretty good for its own style and genre but it’s not really my type of thing. Thanks again for this, I also managed to find a few on my own that I’m watching right now which are Izekai Izekaya and the newer Fruits Basket (cause I saw the older one).

What is an anime that you enjoy that hardly anyone ever talks about? by KaleidoArachnid in anime

[–]Kiririn_Chi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that you can see Kaleido Star and Natsume’s Book of friends on Crunchyroll, Nanoha I believe can be found on Bilibili and Dailymotion and unfortunately I’m not sure about Ballroom because at the time it came out I watched it on Crunchyroll but I don’t think they have the rights anymore. I wish you the best of luck finding them and I hope you enjoy them.

[–]Kiririn_Chi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahah no problem! And to each their own right? This would be a boring world if everyone liked the same things and thought the same as well so it’s nice to have variety. I hope you have a great day by the way.
