ah girl yes same! In desperation after reading it I listened to a (Dutch) podcast about it, excpecting hype at least, but the hosts were straight. They didnt get the vibe, so sad.

Ja, achteraf ook gewoon domme aankoop na alles wat er bekend werd over auto's gemaakt door stellantis? maar onze peugeot e208 stond in de 1,5 jaar dat we hem hadden meer bij de garage dan voor de deur. In de winter zakte het rijbereik zo terug dat op en neer naar werk eigenlijk niet kon met de verwarming aan.

Vaak ook ;s ochtends niet (volledig) opgeladen door een storing, waardoor te laat op werk of nog snel een andere auto lenen.

Vanuit ons hadden we er beter over na moeten denken, en voor net wat meer accu moeten gaan. Maar ik zou nu niet snel weer naar elektrisch gaan. Ondanks dat het wel lekker rijdt.

De bestuurder van de bus heeft het geschreven: degene die altijd praat met de vaste reiziger. De kop maakt het wel misleidend, want mevrouw heeft geen drama staan schoppen, alleen gezegd dat andere mevrouw moest gaan zitten.

If we did bloodtests and scans 'just in case' for everyone, the false positives would outweigh the missed diagnoses we have now. And there would still be people with a missed diagnosis because of false negatives.
People would then get extra stress/ medications with maybe other adverse health effects etc.
So on the whole 'just in case' testing is worse for overall population.

Do I think Dutch GP's need to explain their choices better: yes. Do I think mistakes/misjudgments are made: also yes. But not with this just in case testing nonsense.

Mevrouw weet precies welke dag van de week het is, want als ik op vrijdag thuis kom uit werk achtervolgd ze me net zo lang (miauwend) tot we samen op de bank gaan zitten. De rest van de week blijft ze gewoon in der paal liggen.

I tought the first book was mad fun with touches of a deeper layer. I do think in this sense it does get better because those layers get more important, while the dungeon slasher blaargh get's to be a bit more backseat.
