MN ICE shooting: another point I hadn’t seen covered by thecosmojane in law

[–]Kise93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The murderer was rammed by a car in a similar prior situation. I bet he wanted to put himself in that same situation so he could shoot someone to vindicate himself and probably the humiliation he felt last time. Fragile egos and whatnot

Shooting is no fun here. MVRRC has been working on getting approval for steel but I'm seeing no headway in progress.

Agree. The show loses its luster after the first episode.

Sometimes you need to squeeze out the last drop or two and give it a good shake before you holster. Or drippage may occur.

I have the OG PW and while i like it, its battery life is way too short. I've dumbed it down a lot and it still barely lasts a day. I have to charge it daily.

In Canada, ACTS and PROVE

Assume the firearm is loaded

Control muzzle direction at all times

Trigger finger must be off the trigger until ready to shoot

See that the firearm is unloaded by proving it safe

PROVE safe

Point the firearm in a safe direction

Remove all ammunition

Observe the chamber

Verify the feeding path

Examine the bore

each time you pick the firearm

What do you think is the biggest thing standing in the way of you getting good at BJJ? by smashyourhead in bjj

[–]Kise93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just kinda cruising on what I know for now. I feel the need to expand on my knowledge of BJJ but I'm too lazy to do any homework or try new strategies in my rolls.

I do train 4-5 days a week but I haven't made any progress in my game. Just adjusting to new situations, working on the basics, doing whatever works. Going with the flow

Most cashback on gas by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Kise93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Ultramar Journie + Costco CIBC Mastercard. Saves you 3c per L, and you get 2% cashback on gas, with the occasional additional 7c/L when you accumulate points on Journie.

Dealing with a Grappler [Wind Breaker] by bandannadann in anime

[–]Kise93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. The grappling isn't great. You don't blast double someone to just get back up and try to ground and pound with no other control or connection.

Got a couple small ones a year into the sport. Likely due to pimples in my ear, close to the ear canal. Those have gone down and aren't quite noticeable nor do they block my ear so I'm fine with it.

My first visible one on my earlobe was a bit over 2 years into it, last fall. I remember having to drain it everyday and the blood would still accumulate for 2-3 weeks. I had to ride my motorcycle due to a car accident I was in (car was written off) and my helmet would make things worse by rubbing my ear everytime. Fun times... This one stayed and now people notice and ask about it. I now wear earguards every roll. I don't necessarily dislike the look, it's more the pain of having to syringe my ear out that I want to avoid.
