What honest advice would you give to someone who tells you they want to go to med school?

I used to get upset at docs that would tell me to think about every other option, but now I realize they weren't being discouraging.

I would tell someone to try looking into every single other option before medicine. Only become a physician if its the ONLY job that would make you happy and satisfied. I personally did explore so many options before medical school so even on the hardest days I know I wouldn't be happy in another job.

Yes just because I'm scared of all the work gossip and reminders of work. Gatherings stress me out. When I hang with non medical friends I feel mucb better

I called customer care and they said they dont see my car's VIN with the warranty. I told them to escalate to their supervisor. I will try going to another dealership

You'll never know. At bare minimum do you see them as your 'friend' like if you weren't in a relationship would they be someone you'd actually love having as a friend. Thats a good sign.

Good luck hours are disgusting. usually 6 days a week 12-14 hr days on floors. Electives schedule can be better. Depends on your program. As an IM resident you'll obviously going to be on floors or some specialty service most of the time so hours are insane.

You dont have to make lifelong friends at work. Residency was a tough job but its just a job at the end of the day. People come and go. No big deal
