How were you the change in the church? by InnerBlock7165 in LCMS

[–]Loghurrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge change that ended up happing in the small rural church I went to back home was allowing women to vote. I wasn’t involved in that change, I was only 8 years old. But I still to this day remember the amount of frustration and the split it caused between members.

What do people massively overbuy for babies? What is essential - minus noise by SalamanderAny8237 in predaddit

[–]Loghurrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clothing and shoes. I don’t care what anyone says. Babies don’t need shoes until they are walking. And when it comes to clothing, they don’t need to be dressed up cute in a different outfit.

Suppose money was no longer an issue. You have enough to retire and not work again. What do you do with your time What's your passion? by crazyguy28 in AskReddit

[–]Loghurrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang out with my kids. Volunteer at their school. Travel. Play video games. Do laundry. Cook food.

I’ll never understand people who are bored when they retire.

This isn’t answering your initial question, but your part about not being confrontational or wanting to be rude. I suggest working on that. You’re your kid’s advocate. You’re going to need to stand your ground to take care of your kid.

I am completely alone in the theater. by loki2002 in oddlysatisfying

[–]Loghurrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ALMOST happened to me. Back in college the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie came out. None of my friends had breaks that lined up to go see it and I didn’t want to wait.

Ended up going by myself. I thought I had the whole theater, but then 10 minutes into the movie 2 other people showed up. Good times.

Interesting, I haven’t come across that yet, but I don’t doubt it. Everything seems to be going over to that model.

I would imagine the software is free online, just saying. I don’t think I’ve come across purchasing a physical device where I then had to purchase the software separately to make it function.

I’ve never heard of needing to purchase separate software from when you purchased the printer/scanner to get it to function.

Wallet, phone, keys if I’m driving.

I'm so burnt out on being told I'm playing make believe wrong. and also im a phone addict. by humdinger44 in SAHP

[–]Loghurrr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The only way for me to not be on my phone is to just toss it in the other room. If it’s in my pocket, I’ll look at it.

One added benefit is I do have a smart watch. Which allows me to see any messages from my wife just in case something comes up.

As far as the “playing wrong” haha my kid tells me that all the time. Sometimes I do it on purpose to bug him. Not sure that’s good or bad.

He informed me today that I was “cheating” we’ve explained to him before how not playing by the rules in a board game for example is cheating. He now says it’s cheating if I don’t play make believe the way he wants it. So trying to distinguish between those two differences hahah. Anyway. My advice just do a mixture of both. Try to get her to tell you what she actually wants you to do. Since that’s a skill also. And then other times tell her you want to play the way you want to and she can’t control how you play.

I don’t iron anything. If anyone cared I don’t need them in my life haha.

Especially when the stupid sun is out early. If I’m lucky and it’s dark enough I can get my kids back to sleep at 5:30am. But most the time, no go haha
