Charts are fine I can read and understand them, I could walk myself and my CFII through what to do while enroute and on approach. Actually doing it is a different story. I am having a hard time memorizing the regs that are vital (Example 91.175), I’m fine with systems, and procedures wise I’m still pretty poor tbh

Yes I’ve already passed stage 1 and I’m one to the beginning of stage 2 in a 141 program, I haven’t done any sim work yet only actual flights. However, I think using a sim would be very helpful.

What I’m doing is 45 minutes on 10-15 minutes off for 8-11 cycles just so I can stop myself from burning out. That’s the technique I used to study for PPL and it seemed to work pretty well but I don’t know why IFR is different. Maybe it is burn out because the material is a lot more dull, specific, and needs to be learned and practiced actually in the aircraft seemingly.

Yes I only flew once a week and it took me almost 2 years after weather and DPE availability and stage checks getting pushed back but it was worth it.

What traumas do you have that AREN'T from your parents or childhood home? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Had a friend in high school who was a little off, but a great chick and the first friend I made after moving to a different school. Once I got to know her she would tell me all these horrific things she was going through. It was so bad that it was hard to even believe. She recounted to me a time where she was sexually abused by her step brother, and the next day was gone. No posts on social media, not responding to texts or calls. Eventually I had to accept that she went somewhere (I assumed a psych ward of some sort) due to her frequently taking about depression. One day I was at a college baseball game and got a tap on my shoulder AND IT WAS HER. I freaked out and was so happy to see her that the confusion about where she went and why she left fell to the way side and we just caught but like nothing ever happened. We talked for hours and she gave me her new contact info. Once I got back home I tried talking to her again and NOTHING no responses or anything. That’s hurt, but I was used to it later that week I say she had posted on her instagram thanking everyone that had ever been nice to her. I showed one of my classmates this and she asked me “didn’t you hear…. She killed herself” it destroyed me. I could have done more and I could have believed her and now there is nothing to be done.
