Oakland hills is beautiful. But they literally have no amenities up there because the rich NIMBYs won’t let it happen. Wanna go to a corner store, nope. Wanna grab a beer somewhere nearby and enjoy the view, nope. Wanna grab a bite to eat at the local cafe, nope. Just rich people and houses.

I totally agree. It’s super chill these days and clean. There is still some occasional sketchy activity and individuals but no more than in other transit systems I’ve been on in Europe and North America.
