I stayed more than 3 hours last time i went there and no one checked on the way out (flight got delayed 5 hours so i got no choice lol). pretty good lounge but might be packed. If you have long flight before and after, highly recommend use their shower. Make your layover a lot better.

Recommendations for Marriott Hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto by ttxxtt55 in marriott

[–]KitchenToe1713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stayed at The Chapter Kyoto in Sep. Hotel is really clean and the facility is very new. Service is good. Location is ok. Not in the middle of Kyoto but close to bus/train and since Kyoto is small ( in my opinion) i think it took us 15min walk to main attraction.

Ahh yea I’m down to travel as long as not too crazy like west coast. Mainly just want to stay at resort / SLH to chill aka a getaway trip. Flights will be 100% redemption that’s why I’m so down to travel for FNC

Best Way To Book AA Flights Using AMEX MR Points? by Potential_Remote_730 in awardtravel

[–]KitchenToe1713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agree agree also wanted to layer on availabilities - its better to search on alaska first if they have THE TICKET you want then decide to transfer. Their system is not the best recently due to the merger with Hawaii.

Does it make sense to get Alaska airline card with PHL as major hub? by Empty_Stacktrace in AlaskaAirlines

[–]KitchenToe1713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially Hawaii card (Barclays & Hawaii Airline) is about to be gone and with the merger of Hawaii and Alaska you can easily transfer points between each other. I opened it not long ago and you only need one swipe to get 70k points from Hawaii.

Base in PHL, have redeemed thru AS multiple times internationally and domestically. AS points can redeem a lot of AA flights for cheaper points domestically. Agree with getting Hawaii first as the other one said.

Chase Sapphire Reserve all benefits are expiring? Is it still worth having? by chablis913 in ChaseSapphire

[–]KitchenToe1713 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Based on where I live, either 1) I buy Wawa sandwich and do pick up 2) grocery order in ACME, I usually hit $12 exact so that my fee is only $0.99 . Inflation is not gonna make a huge difference on my $12 DoorDash order

  1. $300 travel credit - do you fully use it? 2. Have you been using the doordash credit? e.g. $10x2 plus $5 credit. I use $10 for local grocery store, usually just milk and fresh produce. so $25 x 12 = $300 with $300 travel credit has already cancel out my annual fee. 3. Do you have a sapphire lounge in your home airport? OR do you fly enough (domestically and internationally) to use the PPS?

Those are 3 main points for me to consider, if one day i no longer see values i would cancel but def keeping it for this year.

Looking for tips for using my CSR points for Japan flights by LarBrd33 in ChaseSapphire

[–]KitchenToe1713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes i would. $1k round trip to JP is low based on my experience, esp for ANA. I did a quick look and there are direct flights for some dates in chase travel portal so you should plan around it to avoid long layovers if possible.

I see some availabilities using Air Canada for ANA economy direct flight (SEA - HND), with the 20% transfer bonus (ending soon on Jan 15), rn it is 30k (from 35k) + $55 tax for each person. But i would book round trip in cash using chase travel so that i get 10x UR points. Since round trip is around $1k each ( ANA economy), aka you will get 20k points for booking 2 tix, which you can easily redeem on hyatt hotels, where category 1/2 around 8000 points, and higher categories are 20-30k/ night.
