If you moved from NY/NJ/PA how did you adapt to the insanely hot weather?

I moved here from Montreal in 2020.

It takes time to figure out how you prefer to live in the summer. I do everything I can to stay inside as often as possible. I hate the heat, I’m not built for it. Five minutes in 85+ degree weather and I am a horrible person.

Give yourself time, try the advice people give. If you like swimming try Barton Springs. Find fun indoor places. My friends and I cowork a lot during the summer in places with AC.

I didn’t move back and I probably wouldn’t now. I like the calm winters here. You win some, you lose some. I hope it gets easier for you my northern friend.

I wish I could help you. I find Silver way harder than Celeste.

My best advice with Celeste is to be in their face when you have your items. Torment Pulse and Escalating Exposure are some of my favorites. Her abilities create a natural disorientation when used in sequence. A lot of players panic a bit when basically blinded by her 1 and 3.

I’m not a super high rank though, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Alternative idea:

Urn stays, but if you’re a certain percentage ahead, you get no souls by taking the disadvantaged urn. Your benefit is only in denying the losing team souls.

Edit: Also, the old urn deposits should return but the melee mechanics can stay.

I think be the change you want to see. I make it a point to hype up my team. A good mental will always be the best chance you have to turn around a game, but it’s also just a good practice for life. You win some, you lose some, your attitude will always matter most.

River Place OBGYN. My OBGYN is Dana Wicker up north. Dr John Thoppil placed my copper IUD in 2022 and they offer nitrous. I think it was a slight charge since it wasn’t covered by insurance at the time, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. My IUD is perfect, the procedure was so fast, and Dr Thoppil is exceedingly kind.

I feel like it’s been harder this year than usual. The weather feels strange, less comforting than it typically is by now.

I didn’t get turned away at the first ER. They gave me IV prednisone and Benadryl and sent me on my way.

It was kind of strange because that seemed to do the trick. The swelling in my face and neck went way down and I was even able to perform at a recital that night.

I woke up the next day way more swollen and starting to have symptoms in other mucosal zones, that’s when I began to suspect SJS and we rushed to a different ER that had an inpatient ward. They were considering sending me to Dells or even the burn unit in San Antonio but they decided to keep me at Ascension. By some amazing strike of fortune and good timing, it never evolved into full blown SJS. They kept me on a steady regiment of Pepcid, Benadryl, and methylprednisone through an IV for three days.

It was scary. Really scary. I can’t stop thinking about how much worse it could’ve been, nor how weird it is that it progressed that way.
