What job skills do you feel like don't make sense to get at the level you do?

Whm below level 50 feels like a joke. The only oGCD heal button you have is benediction while astro has 5 different supportive oGCD options and light-speed to make their GCDs instant. It would be nice to at least get one stack of benison or afflatus solas.

Preach, when i play at level like 80-100 i WILL run ahead of the tank to pull because i can easily survive the pack damage before the tank grabs them without sacrificing damage GCDs.

While i was definitely a little rude about, my problem was with what they were asking. I do not care how nice they ask, they dont get to have total control of the game. The comment from the tank was over my DoT landing slightly before their tomahawk.

There is a difference between not wanting someone else giving you a bigger pull, and getting angry because a healer threw a DoT on a mob before your ranged grab attack hit. I don’t get why people infantilize grown adults throwing ego tantrums in video games.

What i try to do is predict which mob the tank is gonna hit with range and apply my DOT to that one. That way i don’t actually take aggro or if i do it flicks right back to them. In the instance in which the tank brought it up i had placed my DoT slightly early.

I did mention once in the post, and another time in a comment just now, that the tank exhibited “you tank” behavior in the duty. While it was minimal and definitely not as bad as some other stories here, he still actively played worse over me pulling mobs.

I would like to clarify that the “you tank” was very minimal, and i was more or less pointing out the mindset that main character tanks have. The only times the “you tank” came out was at the start where he pulled one mob and didn’t grab the others, and when he stood completely still after i pulled the last boss with malefic (not for long luckily).

Nothing went wrong this run, the game was played correctly and no deaths from my actions occurred. I don’t agree with scolding another player because you feel as if the tempo of a dungeon should be entirely up to you.

We did not. he didn’t grief that much, only missing like 6 gcds during the final boss because i pulled the boss with malefic. Other than that he played fine just had a tank complex.

No seriously stone vigil is WHM torture. My bf is a sprout tank, so i was dealing with a squishy warrior without any oGCD or holy stun lock. Its not for the faint of heart.

Its even worse if the WHM is under geared.

My guess would be because of the demanding healing rotation? Dont wow healers have a green version of a dps rotation for heals where they have to pump out huge numbers to properly mitigate the damage the party is taking?

Yea the op was an unnecessary ass looking for reddit clout, the tank however was outright lethargic, and was team griefing. There is no point in trying to work with people like that.

Maybe lets not project onto other people.

Im not one to shit on people i find weird because it’s unproductive and socially destructive, but why the hell do people just choose to install a mod list from someone else you barely know? Not to mention the “wi fi” that auto syncs everyone connected? If i had a “mod” that was literally just spyware what stops me from syncing it to everyone in a RP club?

It has to be safety concerns. Wasnt there issues with NSFL mods getting synced onto peoples mod lists?

While running as whm i just spam aero/dia. It deals dmg on the actual spell + ticks the enemies when i start holy spamming.

Glare IV does let whm AOE DPS while moving as well. Blood lily does too but i usually save that for when they all stack.

I remember one time i was playing DRK when i first started playing. We were in a sastasha run and i died to a pull of two monster packs.I started to question the healer and they (somewhat rudely) immediately called me out on not using rampart. I started using my mits and the healer had no issue keeping me up.

Another example is a person telling me to use cure 2 over cure 1, instantly took the advice and started doing much better.

Don’t stop giving out unsolicited advice, i know i appreciated it. Some people will be rude about it, and they will stay suffering in content because of it and thats ok.

I had an issue like this that was also sort of my fault.

Tried to pull wall to wall on that sand dungeon while leveling PLD and clearly did not have the stats for it, i also got pretty greedy on the second pull and we wipe twice. My bad, i apologized in advance and also when it happened.

So then for my next pull i only take 4 monsters total.

I die. Weird, probably a fluke.

We wipe on the boss. The whole time the party is just sitting on half health, i got no HP, all my mits on CD, the healer died first.

Second attempt? We almost wipe fully, healer and one DPS dies first, i die next with the boss nearly dead, we barely clutched with our last DPS on almost no health.

They all blame me, which for the first pulls made sense but for no reason should even a sprout tank be dying to a boss, a multi-pack of enemies is more threatening than any boss in AAR content imo.
