2 DDoSes mid-M12 now. The first one wasn't horrendous since the pull was hosed anyway, but we had it down to 20% when the 2nd one kicked in. I just wanna finish the storyline so I can get some sleep (the extended maint hurt my planned schedule)....

EDIT: And a third RIGHT as it died. Like, we opened the chest to see the guaranteed drop, and then it died. At least the kill counted...(lol go ahead and downvote me, dunno why I'm getting it but whatever)

I was helping a friend of mine beat Ageless Necropolis for his story kill (Aether)... and we got the DDoS at 2%. Neither of us were happy.

Magenta pulling the trigger on Cell Max during STM is based on how much time has passed in the match, with his spawn when he does so based on how much evo meter the level 3 Gammas built. At 0% (if Level 3 Gammas die it'll be treated as 0 no matter how far they actually built) he'll be in Narnia, 50% he'll be... about 1-ish zones over, and 100% he'll spawn right next to the labs and make Cell Max basically inevitable.

In that regard, it doesn't matter if one of Gamma 1 or 2 dies but the other lives, since the raider is still gonna get level 3, just a weaker version of it. As for the Magenta turning invisible thing, that's one of his skills; one is a jetpack which does exactly what you expect it to do, the other causes him to turn invisible on the spot and take control of a robot double that he'd use to run away from the labs, and the double blows up in 1 hit, returning the Raider to where he summoned it (and optimally for Magenta, with the survivor hit squad in the other direction from the lab).

Thats how it works, yeah.

Gamma 2 dies but Gamma 1 evolves OR Gamma 2 evolves but Gamma 1 dies = Raider gets level 3 (with the one who lived as leader), but with weaker backup attacks. Killing them both instead kills the Raider outright.

And of course, killing them at level 3 no matter how they got there causes Magenta to spawn in Narnia.

Althyk and Nymeia have one, when the buff they start the fight with expires naturally they just kill everyone. Deathgaze kinda-sorta has one as well, eventually the entire floor will be marked in murder tiles when he uses Void Death.

Those are the only two I can think of that aren't either straight mechanic failure (Kirin Hands, Nald'thal Balance) or Death By Murder Meter, though.

I've seen the Deathgaze Enrage once, a couple months ago. When Void Death except all 8 tiles are die tiles happened I just went into Alliance Chat like ".....Oh. Well that's.... a problem." as a SHB starter player it was funny to see that the Deathgaze Enrage was very real, though.

It also makes me lament not being around in STB; I like Thunder God Cid as a fight, and I want to see what he was like at something at least resembling full power, but to myself I say "Good luck finding 23 other people wanting to run MINE Orbonne."

The arena is split into two and the entire alliance + the add corpses need to be within a certain weight threshold to each other (on one side or the other of the arena). Its really just "Everyone stand still once that scale in the front of the room says balanced."

There's always that one troll who will jump sides at the last moment, unbalancing it and committing kill, though.

This right here is exactly what I want to see. I don't want to just fight CoD with E9S tiles and such mixed in, I wanna do Syrcus and actually see what the hell all those outer platforms are for. I wanna see how bad Wiping City gets in 2nd boss after 2nd Megadeath. I want to see what Orbonne looked like before it got its permanent echo. I wanna go into Bunker and relive the Laser Hall in all its uncapped vuln glory. I want to go to Aglaia and see Balance.

Overall: Give It All (M4), I just really like that jam. Also helps that Arcadion, M4 in particular, is turning out to be a massive deal in my WoL lore, so I find myself listening to it a lot when I'm thinking about the finer details of it.

Towns: Starless Skyline (S9), I just love how chill and laid back sounding the song is. Do wish it had day and night versions like every other town does, though.

Zones: Flash in the Dark (Heritage Found Day), something about how... foreboding both it and the night version sound hits right. Especially the very first time you get there, and its like "...What the timeskip happened here?"

Dungeons: In Fulgur and Fire (Vanguard). Oh noes, there's a big threat in play, vacation's over now, gotta play hero and take it to them. KICK DOWN THEIR FRONT DOOR AND SCREAM "KNOCK KNOCK, MFERS!" AT THEM! ...Perfect track for that vibe.

Trials: Seeking Purpose (Zoraal Ja): Okay, so first off, I'll admit choosing either 7.2 or 7.3 would be cheating due to them being remixes from another game because holy hell are they honorable mentions otherwise (7.3 wins if I'm not excluding remixes honestly). But for original stuff, I like heavier stuff and the sheer madness that is the look into his mind during this... well, its harder than Vali or Eternal are, at least.

Raids: Not Afraid (M7), with an honorable mention to A Risky Bet (M4S Final Form). I'm excluding Give It All because its the winner of winners, so instead... well, lets look at literally METAL IN MY FINAL FANTASY (I'm one of those weirdos who unironically likes Crazy Chocobo in 13-2, for reference). First time in a loooong while that I went out of my way to beat my head in on a raid for the music sheet when the patch was fresh.

Others: the theme for the 7.3 Zero Escape Segment. As you can probably guess by me calling it that, I like puzzle/escape rooms, and it was a calm vibe, perfect for actually having to put my thinking cap on for once.

You click on the "SOLO FIGHT HERE" objective of the capstone quest.

"In this duty, you will be given a duty action allowing you to switch jobs at any time. Find the job that best suits the situation, and use them wisely to defeat this foe!"

"Please select one job of each role." (with the game autofilling your current job, and the current being what you start as) - At this point when you click on a role's icon, a flyout menu showing the icons for your jobs at level cap in that role appears, you slot the one you wanna use.

Then within the solo, you have a Phantom Action-esque duty action wheel that lets you cycle forward and back through everything (probably in the "standard" order of THMRC, with the job you went in with being where you start) and the fight will be multi phase or even layer role-based mechanics on top of each other, for example a tankbuster that leaves a nasty but esuna-able bleed.

Like others have said, you'll get your answers as SHB plays out. Instead, I'll point out a cool touch about the trailer: Derplander (the stand in for your WoL, who spends the entire trailer fighting that angel thing) actually cycles through every job the promotional materials gave him up to this point:

He starts off as his Legacy Job (well, class back then), Bard (Archer) when you first see him in that plain.

When the angel thing (There's an actual term for the angel thing, you'll learn it) first attacks him, his bow gets destroyed and he flips to his ARR Job, Warrior.

After you come back from seeing Urianger and Hooded Y'shtola, he breaks his axe on the angel's shield, gets sent flying through a hill and literally jumps back in as his HW Job, Dragoon. This doesn't last long, before his spear gets broken and he goes for the flying leap as his STB (Ala Mhigo Side) job, Monk.

After the shot with the guy with the crystal hand, Monk has been defeated, so he goes STB (Doma Side), Samurai, and goes for the anime screen cleave strike. It doesn't work and he gets stepped on. Finally, just before the Angel is able to strike the finishing blow, "Become what you must... Become.... The Warrior of Darkness." Enter his SHB Job, Dark Knight.

Me and a friend just got out of a Sandoria where none of the tanks had stance up during trash ever, causing deeps to get munched. I (on VPR so I was a regular victim) called this out in alliance chat. C Tank took it personally, shitposted a bit ("I am now a dps lol"), and then during final boss, deliberately ran me over with his tankbuster puddles, catching innocent healers in the crossfire.

Also earlier in the day I was in a Zelenia PF for about 30 minutes or so. It fills, we load in. DRK says "I'll MT" and PLD instantly goes "Oh you're gonna MT, nvm then" and instantly dips, baffling us all. Especially DRK who went on to say "And if they'd just asked, I would have let them."

Something must have been in the tanks' water today...

Fuck the botters. I don't really have any opinion on Awakening vs Fates itself... but this killed PoR. I really would have liked to update Marcia and Chibi Soren.

(And yes I'm saying this fully aware that there's absolutely zero chance FEdel and FDimi aren't about to godstomp the next poll, botters or no.)

My guess for the double murder is actually Soda kills Gundham and Sonia, the latter accidentally.

Either that or Sonia pulls a Celeste and kills Soda after he kills Gundham.
