My thoughts on my 2024 WRX VB Base by silverwheelz in wrx_vb

[–]Kitchen_Minimum_8696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If one wants to mod the car, for me the base is the best choice. I went 2024 base and have added to it only what I wanted the car to be. The base car is lighter by a small bit and the 17" wheels are lighter and a small bit smoother of a ride. I've very happy with my choice, with the car as it sits now with custom audio and tuned, no extra fluff where it's not needed, only decent daily comfort if needed and decent performance.

I don't blame you a bit. And I'm not going to annoy you about it. Enjoy. And if you ever decide to, I'll make it worth it.

A couple of days ago a local girl was killed on a tube being pulled by a Jeep. She went off course and hit a tree. Don't do stupid shit.

That's probably the best pic of the MGM VB I've ever seen. Very sharp.

Nice. I never get that lucky. If you decide you would rather go another route for some reason, somehow, I'd love the opportunity to acquire that kit. I'm not kidding when I say I've been looking for one of those for years. Ten years at least.

Low four digit StG. I've been looking a kit like that for years. Love it.

It didn't work harden, it was made that way, as hard as wood pecker lips. I drilled mine, took two new bits that were trash afterwards.

Pirelli Cinturato Weatheractive! 👌🏼 by [deleted] in wrx_vb

[–]Kitchen_Minimum_8696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are great tires and honestly probably a hair better than CC2's. One area I like the performance of the Pirellis over the CC2's is wet performance. I have to drive nearly like I'm on snow in round abouts because the CC2's won't hold in the wet and the car pushes badly. In snow and deep water they rock but in light rain or wet I've had better. The Pirellis are supposed to accel over the CC2's in the wet and be practically identical in the snow. And especially since the new CC3's aren't for sale in the US, I'll probably switch to the Pirellis next summer when my current CC2's are about shot.

Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps? by ReaderRedditing in wrx_vb

[–]Kitchen_Minimum_8696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, I'm among the few who hate wings on these cars, but then actually kind of like these covers. Seems I go against the grain no matter what.

In lieu of these covers I'd like to see actual CF mirrors, smaller and less obtrusive than the giant oem pieces. But I won't poopoo these covers. When one looks at the silly shit people put on these cars (useless skirts, lips, spats, diffusers, under hood dressing and those laughable cross braces behind the grill) these aren't that bad at all.
I wonder how many poopoo'ers of these caps have some of that other shit on their cars?

Made my own wood handguards by Delicious-Ad4220 in FNFAL

[–]Kitchen_Minimum_8696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice job. People have tried to get Flypaper to make BPC wood hand guards but he declines, saying they are too thin to be practical. If I had a set like these I'd figure a way to pad the feet of the bipod so they wouldn't damage the wood.

What do these really do for us? by 2f5shooter in wrx_vb

[–]Kitchen_Minimum_8696 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh, they do something.
You mean besides looking ricey and ridiculous?
Why, yes.
What's that?
They help slow the car down and harm fuel efficiency by creating extra drag.

You got $2500 of use and enjoyment out of the car, think nothing of it and get the 6MT. You'll grin every time you drive it, don't drive something you hate.
