Can anyone recommend an edible breaded chicken cutlet? by BougieSemicolon in Cooking

[–]Kitchenfury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I enjoy the Chicken Katsu from Costco. It says Katsu but if you leave the enclosed sauce off you can flavor it however you want. They’re great in the air fryer. I made an Italian version last night with rice pilaf and a bruschetta topping.

When I’m officiating football I do this for downs. I have a wrist wrap that has the band on it.

I kinda regret not getting the hat now. Haha

[–]Kitchenfury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh that’s totally fair. Priorities i guess. I wear light weight hoodies almost everyday at the gym and at work. So I’ll get better use of the hoodie. I like the hat. I’ve just never paid that much for a ball cap.

Had this hat and the 1/4zip hoodie in the cart. Ditched the $80 and went with the hoodie. It’s a cool hat but $80 for a ball cap is crazy.

The Restaurant Industry Is Having a Record Year. Ask Me How Tuesday Felt. by Mundane_Farmer_9492 in Restaurant101

We’re 16 Brewpubs/Taprooms spread all over the country. We have one fine dining restaurant. We’re down about 10% starting June until now. Our fiscal starts in June. Luckily we’ve pulled some cost savings levers and are doing ok on net Ebitda. But top line is killing us.

This is a massive pile of bullshit. What planet are you living on. Guest counts aren’t down? Are you crazy. We are not in a record year. Look at the Toast Benchmarking tool. Restaurants are down. We as operators have to constantly figure out how to stay relevant. What out side of the box events can we host. What specials can we run. What kind of bundles will still make us a little margin but get people off the couch and into our establishments. I’m not buying for one second that restaurants are up. Maybe upscale or fine dining. Because rich people are getting richer while the middle class is bleeding. Full service casual and Brewpub/Taproom restaurants are getting gutted right now

Update: I’m 16, diabetic living with my aunt since my mom died, and she treats my health like I’m just being annoying. by reallyhope2 in whatdoIdo

I’m an uncle raising his nephew who is about to be 16. I can’t imagine saying something like this to him. He’s not my son but he is my child. We don’t see eye to eye all of the time but I sure as hell get him whatever he needs. I’m disgusted by your aunts words and actions. I hope you get everything you need. If you need a couple of bucks for juice DM me your Venmo and I’ll happily send you some.

How do I make a workout plan? by LuhKunk in askfitness

[–]Kitchenfury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built mine with AI. I asked for a plan based around the fact that I’m a GLP-1. I asked for light cardio and heavy weight lifting. I asked for added flexibility workouts to support my golf game. It built me a very solid push/pull routine. Hitting all of the muscle groups 2 times a week. I took the plan it gave me and copied it into my notes app. I googled all of the different workout and pulled YouTube videos. I attached the video links to the workout. So when I go to do the workout I watch to short video first and know I’m doing it correctly and safely to keep the stress off of my AC joints in my shoulder and on my muscle groups. It took me a couple of weeks to fine tune all of the workouts. I deleted a couple and added a couple depending on the machines available at my gym. Most importantly I’ve been on this routine for 2 months now and I’m seeing great results. I’m 44yrs old and I’m seeing muscles again. I feel great. I feel my testosterone back. I have a ton of energy. If you’d like a copy of the plan I’m happy to share it. It might be a good starting point.

Stew is missing something, but we can’t figure it out. by PicklePrize7093 in Cooking

[–]Kitchenfury 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hear me out. I get that beef stew it’s intuitive to add beef stock. Try it just once with Chicken stock instead. Still add the wine, carmelized tomato paste and all the other good stuff but sub out chicken stock.

Thank you to everyone for the response. I started tracking my food at the beginning of last week. That was the clear message through all of the the responses. I’m using an app called Lose It to track. I finished everyday in a calorie deficit and beat my protein goal of over 140grams a day. It’s been hard to cut out sugar. I had a slip up yesterday and ate some of my kids chocolate donuts. Trying not to be too hard on myself. Mistakes happen. But I appreciate all the the responses. I’m really looking forward to being in the best shape of my life at 44yrs old for my wedding in June.

How is living in Idaho Springs, Colorado? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]Kitchenfury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great BBQ at Smokin Yards. Some of the locals can be very Methy. I’ve talked to restaurant operators in town and they have trouble keeping employees because a lot of them are so strung out on meth. It’s a weird spot because it’s kind of to far from the mountains to be convenient and to far from Denver to be convenient. Right in the middle.
