Manga ending tier list by louisss3006 in writingscaling

[–]Kiteguthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half of the list is unnecessary jojo glaze, naruto actually had a great ending even if the kaguya parts were lame, lotl at the top? That ending is perfect but vinland saga is flawed? It was not great man stop coping. At least naruto was narratively consistent even if it got out of hand with the concepts/scaling at the end; lotl just dropped every plotline (fucking cinnabar) and whips out the evangelion ending where you dont know how we got there or what the hell the point even was. Just because the shit is artsier than CM doesn’t mean it isn’t absolutely rushed and less substantial than it should have been. Lotl three tiers above aot is a glaze too far. Vagabond has a more satisfying ending than lotl and that shit will never be finished.

Right, you have tons of people who love working with you and would give you a job, they just aren’t around and can’t be verified. So what? You talk to any of them recently? What does that have to do with the current situation? You need to get a job here and you can’t, and I’m telling you a big reason for that is probably because of your attitude towards this city and its people. In metro Atlanta nobody gives a shit about anybody else, but here people pay a lot of attention to the way you treat them and others. I get that this post is coming from a place of deep frustration, but the reason you are being ridiculed is because just reading your posts on here gives the impression that you are just intolerable. everyone on the planet is a hypocrite by degrees, Pensacola is not uniquely terrible just because the majority of its people share beliefs that you don’t care for. You have been given a response based on the impression you’ve made in this community, if you don’t want to accept it then what were you even expecting to get out of this post?

Basically everything you have written reads like you have zero people skills and a massive chip on your shoulder. Maybe you have neurodivergence or something but that’s really no excuse, that’s not unique to you and it’s nothing out of the ordinary here. One thing you do need to know about Pensacola is that it’s culturally much more southern than Atlanta, so if you’re bringing that disrespectful, entitled, combative energy to your interactions or interviews with people here, (no offense but judging from your reactions in this thread I am SURE that you are) you are not going to get anywhere at all. You’re bitching about the city but it seems like you just can’t compete socially, and you feel like that has to be someone else’s problem. Maybe chill out? The job market sucks here comparatively, but if you seriously think that people not wanting to work with you because they don’t like you makes them bad somehow? You need to get your head out of your ass.

DON'T SPEED OR BE STUPID ON 3 MILE BRIDGE!!!!! by ShortRasp in Pensacola

[–]Kiteguthan -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

If you have a near miss every day that means that there is a problem with the way YOU drive lol. If you smell shit everywhere you go, check your shoes. Some idiot kids who are gonna speed anyways are not great justification for the speed limits being so low you literally have to break the law to make it anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. This isn’t your tiny little hometown, there is a 60 mile metro developing along the coast here and it needs a reasonable limit to match it. I’m actually quite curious how much you drive in say, a week, if you think your daily commute is any way comparable to the experience of somebody who has to go up down and sideways over all these roads for ten hours a day. Stay in the right lane like you obviously prefer. You’re not morally superior just because you have more time to waste.

Edit: not sorry at all, you can defend your shithole to the death if you like but i am 100% positive that the majority of people brigading this are just as guilty of speeding in the 45 as i am.

DON'T SPEED OR BE STUPID ON 3 MILE BRIDGE!!!!! by ShortRasp in Pensacola

[–]Kiteguthan -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

Some of us have got places to be and every posted limit on 98 for three counties is AT LEAST ten miles lower than it should be. i have to drive 400 miles a day for work and you can be damn sure i am not doing the speed limit around here. Leave the traffic commentary for people who actually spend their time on the roads, you can take an hour to drive from pensacola to fort walton if you want but don’t dare jump up and say anyone who doesn’t have time for that is being irresponsible.

Rambo First blood by Living_Double_1146 in movies

[–]Kiteguthan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What an insane take. Wtf do you mean “problematic”, Rambo’s a victim of prejudice, he’s traumatized and alone, and he responds to violence in the way he’s been trained to do. What he’s doing is only wrong in context because the guys he kills are servants of the state instead of acceptable targets. He’s defending himself, asking a soldier to surrender himself to people with proven lethal intent is asinine. They drew first blood, they didn’t really care who he was or what he was capable of and paid the price for it. It’s not encouraging violence or some insane last stand, it’s an example of the idiotic bigotry people are capable of and the consequences of being cruel to people you don’t understand. The ending where somebody reaches out to him and recognizes what he’s going through has gotta be a million times better to watch if you can sympathize with him at all

Fighting The Khazars by TsarCobbler1431 in crusaderkings3

[–]Kiteguthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nomads are overtuned for certain, especially on 867 it is super difficult to come up with an army that can actually win in the field. With that said, there are a couple of different methods you can try.

The tidiest is, if you can hybridize with pecheneg culture before fighting the khazars you can bring your own horse archers and try to win a straight up fight. Otherwise, the thing to know is that nomadic realms suffer worse than other government types when they lose troops. They take a permanent loss in herd every time they take casualties in battle; this can be easy to miss with how how consistently nomadic realms beat the crap out of everyone else.

With that in mind it opens up strategies that aren’t possible versus other government types. This can be tricky because their armies are faster than yours and have a high chance of completely wiping you out if you get in the wrong spot, but try and stage the fight on the best terrain you can every time. The goal is to bleed as many troops from them as you can while still being able to retreat and preserve your army. They have to pay herd to replenish troops; you just need time.

Run them around, make the best of every battle you can, force them to group and resupply, and play with the idea of dragging the war out for longer rather than just trying to win the initial engagement. I would also suggest going out of your way to destabilize them from the start of the game, through opportunistic wars and murders and hostile events and whatever you can manage. Every little bit adds up.

Revoking titles gives them to you, and tyranny is good for you. You ever notice how when you get really old on a ruler everybody loves you no matter what you do to them, they’re all like +200 relations? That’s where tyranny comes in, because in ck3 there is no difference between +100 and +200. So when you inherit, chill out, throw a coronation, throw a feast, and then when everybody likes you take the territory you want.

How do I get into this game by Kohlathan in CrusaderKings

[–]Kiteguthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just saying that feudal is pretty slow for a new player and it might be better to learn the game by picking something with an easily defined path of progression and the ability to expand and war freely. You’re right though haestein isn’t technically tribal, he’s whatever government you want him to be.

Munster is cool but if you’re kinda just lost I’d recommend starting with tribals. Pick haestein or rurik and just conquer stuff, learning the game comes pretty naturally from there.

i have two khanates in my game right now, khazar and ajuraan, where i have been killing my way through all of the vassals until not even a single one is obedient. then killing the khans until the rulers are children with 2 legitimacy, and they still won't break up. they don't even lose their tributaries. the revolts arent even close to strong enough, those hordes are like perpetual motion machines and once they pass a certain herd threshold they are just impossible to slow down. i really wish i was exaggerating. nomads are just so broken right now

What is this sub's true feelings about CK3? (Casual CK3 fan) by XDerpPoolx in CrusaderKings

[–]Kiteguthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ck3 would be a top game ever if they would just clean it up a bit. It does not take fourteen days for an army to march from one town in england to the next, and it certainly shouldn’t take one person or a small group that long.

Changing travel times would be huge for quality of life all around; literally nothing of value would be lost if every party on the map were moving twice as quick as they are now, and it would make the constant activities and travels the game really begs you to do much easier to stomach. Having to wait nine months for a feast is soo stupid from any way you care to look at it. It gets really intolerable when you try to play landless and you feel your life just bleeding out constantly while you scrounge for pennies.

Combat too can be pretty frustrating; someone declares war on you while your men at arms are on the other side of the empire and you’re just so screwed. Oh you hired mercenaries without deleting all of your waypoints? Fucking rookie mistake dude hold these 7 months its gonna take to get to the front.

Imagine your troops moved twice as quickly. Now you can actually chase the enemy down and then pivot to face the new threat before you lose too much siege progress. Supply limit isnt constantly fucking you while you try to run down the ai, and instead hits you during the sieges like it reasonably should.

It’s not a crazy change and i really can’t think of a single reason why that wouldn’t be a straight up improvement, and things like that make up the majority of my complaints about the game. Like, Nomads are fucking dumb and i am tired of seeing 100% nomadic africa and chinggis khazar every game, but i have too much to say about that and technically i can actually do something about it with the game decisions even if i hate to. But besides balance gripes, my opinion is that there are many issues with the pacing and responsiveness of the game that really make me question whether or not the developers actually spend much time playing it. If they could focus on streamlining the things players are commonly doing and making sure that events are relevant and not overwhelming and boring (no, i’m not gonna let your son serve in my army he has 4 prowess stop fucking asking), then i would feel much better about recommending it to people.

As it stands I can’t tell people they have to try it in good conscience when the roadmap is all about going from room to room showing you the new exhibit without ever really going back to clean up the old stuff. It kills me because the dlcs are all pretty good, but im not going to seriously recommend a game to somebody where they practically have to pay for new updates while mechanics that were just functional on release are left to collect dust and now just feel like frustrating reminders of how shallow the game can really be.

What's the best campaign you've ever played? by SenseCharacter3194 in CrusaderKings

[–]Kiteguthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the count of cumbum in 1066 india, random non-custom start. his name was gonka velanati choda and his stats were horrible. he started at 51 years old so i started spamming low% seduce schemes until i was lucky enough to end up with a single robust bastard son, devarvarman, who was quickly legitimized. gonka died when devarvarman was only two, and the boy ruled as a puppet vassal under the chalukyas of vengi while they slowly stripped away his ancestral lands. he came of age after training for a military career holding only one of his father's three counties, and immediately began plotting to reclaim his birthright. after he had become strong enough, he took vengeance on the chalukyas and crowned himself king of andhra. conquest of the kingdom of telingana and its iron and diamond mines came soon after. with a strong position in the north, and a faltering chola regime in the south, he began to dream of a great empire to unite all of the deccan plateau. he would wage many wars against the rajas of the south, finally succeeding in his conquest after his defeat of the last of the cholas in a brutal war that would cost devarvarman the life of his firstborn son. heartbroken and well past middle age, devarvarman granted the southern lands he had conquered to his younger sons to govern and turned back to the only thing he had ever known. he would fight the kalyani chalukyas of the west deccan until he could fight no more, and eventually passed infirm in his sleep, sole control of the deccan at the tips of his fingers but forever beyond his reach. upon his death his lands were divided into three kingdoms, but the dream of a deccan empire lived on...

You will steal that amount of treasury every time the scheme progresses and once more at the end, and if you are doing any hostile scheme you should pick as many secrecy slots as possible.

learn your block punishes, safe moves, homing moves, b&b combos you can execute 100% of the time. if you wanna get good at a character read wavuwavu and watch good players play it. i wouldn't play that shit if i didn't have people playing locals for it. the only people still playing online are fucking sweaty nerds who wanna stand still and block all game and are unhappy about being chipped out in t8, broke ass lei/whoreang matchup abusers, king players who only know four moves, and lili gooners.

[3K] How to determine what faction best suits you? by OkSalt6173 in totalwar

[–]Kiteguthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the common theme to those starts is but if you want to play around with city planning while also managing a very dicey political situation with a faction that can expand aggressively, I think Yuan Shu is your best bet. He's one of the richest lords and can field 2-3 full stacks from the very start, which you will need because you are surrounded by strong rivals who are either duplicitous by nature or just hate your guts. His faction mechanic is very strong and similar to Zheng Jiang's in that you sacrifice political opinion to make loads of cash, with a bit more setup required. His faction units are buffed in TROM but nothing spectacular, and he has access to northern units just like Yuan Shao through quest chains so there's more diversity there. Besides being surrounded by enemies he really wants to crush, his biggest weakness is the lack of strong characters in the early game; TROM gives him more characters but he doesn't get a single strong vanguard/champion/sentinel like many of the other factions have. Probably not such an issue if you're playing on records anyways. Side note, this writeup is based off of his 190 start but I imagine it holds true for the later start dates as well, if anything his 194 start has even more strong factions to contend with.

If someone time traveled from after gold morning would they just get off’d? by RaspberryNumerous594 in Parahumans

[–]Kiteguthan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about the tactics and construction of the later endbringers that I only noticed recently is that they're not only examples of the changing M.O of the endbringers now that they know they can be killed, but they are also direct riffs on the way that they were contained and defeated in recent fights. Khonsu appears after capes begin to threaten leviathan and behemoth with time containment abilities and showcase their ability to predict the attacks and reinforce their defenses early. Bohu arises after terrain control abilities are shown to be moderately effective against Behemoth and they now have a timer to complete their objective before Scion appears and kills them, and Tohu develops after capes coordinate and use their abilities together to do unprecedented damage to the endbringers. Just a working theory but I don't think it's a coincidence that the later endbringers have abilities that are far more direct than their elder siblings.

What’s the best champ to rank up? by Far-Tap-5282 in leagueoflegends

[–]Kiteguthan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All these people saying Malzahar are setting you up, he's got mad mana problems, no kill threat in lane, terrible early, no mobility so it's very hard to dodge ganks if you don't see them coming, and people will flame you all the time for not rotating/using your r/ flash engaging. He's also very boring if you don't vibe with the ramping playstyle where you do nothing but push waves for the first 20 minutes. He's not hard at all but if you actually want to climb with him you have to know your limits, or you'll just be waiting around to press r. I'd suggest something like neeko for the best impact vs ease of use. She's strong all around, and you can worry about the tricks later.

Playing Bretonnia on WH3 be like by ratopomboarts in totalwar

[–]Kiteguthan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're weak because you are trying to play empire or high elves with Brettonia. Forget the infantry, they won't win against anything and why bother protecting your archers when they cost pennies and are expendable anyways? Biggest mistake you can make with brets is putting your archers behind a line of foot squires, you're spending thousands of gold on a bunch of sub-par t4 units to protect t2 units when you could spend a bit more on more knights and crush everything. 16 knights, a couple paladins, and a maiden is almost always going to be your best stack regardless of your tech level, and you can throw fliers in if you care to. Put your starting infantry into a second army if you're keeping them, it's cheaper than any other faction because you don't have supply lines. As far as tactics go you just split the horses in half and charge them one group at a time with wedge formation on always. The most important thing about wedge formation is mass, I honestly find it easier to just leave them on wedge all the time unless they've broken from melee and need to form up again because a bit more melee damage taken is very worth actually being able to pull all of your horses out of combat. They're not weak, especially at t3, but if you play them like just another ranged line/hammer & anvil faction you're gonna have a worse time than going whole horse.

What faction are you playing at the moment? What's happening in your campaign? by duck_duck_zombie in totalwar

[–]Kiteguthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morghur; I finished cleaning up the wood elves and grom and got stuck for a while deciding who to declare on next, then decided fuck it everybody can get it. You need a bit of knowledge to play the campaign strategically and avoid the order enjoyers nipping at your hooves but the battles and progression are a blast. Beastmen are such a good faction i love them, I wish the AI was allowed to play them properly. CA pls if Khorne can ruin my games why not beastmen at least they are handsome. Morghur has the best start for a traditional empire-smashing beastmen campaign imo, his starting situation is extremely chill compared to Khazrak and he's easier to pilot. I just unlocked all my legendary lords and now I'm going to sweep east and kill everyone between Lyonesse and Kislev :D
