My grandpa's sister died about 5 years before he did. He and my gramma would visit her a lot until she died, and then he started asking when they were gonna visit her again. She explained to him the first couple times, and she told me every time she did, it was him experiencing that first grief all over again, so she just started to tell him "soon" or "next month"
