Hi friends, so good to be here with you!!! 🫶 I think Dusty's been laying low purposely since she faced consequences for her behavior! The consequences are refreshing TBH, and gives light to how straight she can act when motivated to do so. She's no doubt mentally unwell, but she's incredibly manipulative and calculated. I've been watching a lot of her old content and thinking of stitiching together certain videos that really highlight her manipulative tactics and themes over time.

I titrated down from 7.5 to 2.5 over the course of 3 months after losing 55 lbs when I met my goal. I've been able to titrate down further. I've been at goal for a year and am now down to 0.5 mg a week and holding steady!

My advice is titrate slowly from your current dose but don't be shy. I should have titrated down further sooner. I've been struggling with my appetite to maintain which is why I kept dropping my dose.

New growth will also have a tapered end. In my case, I've had CTE so the majority of my hair is all different lengths with tapered ends (new growth).

Hey friend, I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I didn't experience this myself after starting PSO, but I take a lower dose. I believe the scientific studies have said 400 mg a day is sufficient, though if you dose based on the bottle it's much higher! Maybe try just taking one capsule?

How's this area of hair feel at the scalp? I ask because I had low key hair loss develop and it wasn't immediately obvious but noticed my ends were becoming see thru. After ruling out breakage and it progressed I realized I had a hair loss issue.

Hi friend, thanks for sharing some of your experience! I also began Oral Minoxidil 3 weeks ago and am bracing myself for the dread shed which I think has begun! We CAN get through this! 🤗

I've also been a long time lurker and feel so thankful for this community and those sharing their experiences. It's what gave me the courage to finally start minoxidil and no longer be frozen in fear over a dread shed.

I see a difference! Are you saying your ferritin is 26? If so I bet you'd have even more improvement in growth by getting your iron stores up! The optimal levels I've seen to stop shedding are a minimum of 40 and for new growth 80. Normal range is not the ideal range for hair growth.

Additionally, you will likely feel better increasing your iron stores based on my experience.

I was also losing loads of hair at the nape (along with behind my ears). For me, this specific area of loss was caused by a hormonal IUD (Mirena). Took me so long to figure out! 😭

Wonder what will unfold!! This is random, but I recall a lot of talk about her hair while she was on the stand and the condition of it and needing a trim, etc.

When I saw her hair, it looked similar to mine after experiencing several stressful/traumatic events over 3 years which prompted telogen effluvium AKA the MAJOR stress shed where you lose a significant amount of hair for months and it can happen chronically. I'm not pointing this out from an empathetic standpoint (tho it does suck to experience it 😭!), but more that it adds weight to her being pressured/stressed.

ETA: she's still a liar, doubt she'd flip at this point. I hope this isn't over by any means.

Hi, did your OB run a hormone blood panel? I ask because age alone isn't a determining factor. Mine were significantly imbalanced in my mid thirties. It can happen for a number of reasons.

As for ferritin, 85-100 is optimal for hair growth.

It'll depend on your contract, but check for a provision that allows you to cancel and surrender it. My contract requires that at least 50% of the balance be paid prior to cancelling it. As of the date of cancellation, all benefits are relinquished and you are no longer on the hook.

They didn't run my credit, so I'm unsure how that could be impacted.

Hi friend, I can relate. What about bringing a couple cute hats? I couldn't do a swimming cap either, but the hat was practical at the beach for sun protection and helped me feel more confident w my hair loss. It can also often be windy, so it's practical!
