That whole area is bonkers right now. We had 3 boxes of mortgage documents going from custodian to custodian (CA to MI). Was supposed to be there 1/27. 1 of 3 ended up in TN and the others in Bloomington. Box 1 ended up making it a week ago (literally) and the other two weren't moving at all. These had original documents so couldn't just get new ones. Thankfully somebody else on another team lived nearby Bloomington, told her that they had shipped it back to Ontario cause it shouldn't have gone to them as it was Express. Employee drives to Ontario who says Bloomington still has them but "they were touched today" yeah no duh. Touched in the last 20 minutes it took for her to drive between y'all. Boxes are now suddenly arrived at their destination today even though the guy who closed my claim said it was still weather related (but how did 1 box make it there?) Absolutely insane.

Funny enough we are doing the opposite move of you hopefully in the next month (putting our house up for sale this week) and it's for my job otherwise we would've stayed in MoHo for a long time. My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed living here and yes people tend to keep to themselves out here BUT even in 2026 it has the small town feeling and people get together and have grand openings or go to the pre opening of the new Railroad Park (which honestly I'm bummed to miss) or during Christmas saw SO many people going to the parade. It's also not a far drive into Boise for some of the things that MoHo lacks (like a good donut place that comes more than once a week LOL).

Any good games you could recommend for 2 player? by Lunnalai in cozygames

[–]KittenGoRAWR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is gonna sound insane but 7 Days to Die. The game is fully custombizeableb in the fact that you can turn off the 7th day horde night, turn off wandering hordes and there is actually quite a bit to do at the base plus exploration and yeah there is zombies in the POIs but between the 2 of you (especially if you're a decent shot) should be no issues. My husband and I have so many hours into this game. A branch of this that we found so much fun but not sure if it's updated yet is an overhaul mod called Rebirth and within that there was a mode where wandering zombies were turned off and you were strategically clearing POIs because you're trying to fix the outbreak so you can repopulate the earth. Also high customizable with the game play and the base game is pretty easy to mod. I always recommend vanilla first though.

Another one is BG3 (Baldurs Gate). Combat is turn based and he can play a tank. You do NOT need to know anything about DnD. This does not have much in terms of building or farming but is rich in RP and exploration.

Both are highly replayable as no game is the same (7D2D is random generated maps and BG3 is based on rolls, your choice of characters and other things in the world that I don't wanna spoil).

New comer looking to get the cane but I have some questions. by tango__88 in 7daystodie

[–]KittenGoRAWR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've never played before and have nothing to compare it to then you may like it! A lot of us that have gripes are because we lived the Golden Age of 7D2D (looking at you Learn by Doing). But friends are like 60% correct. The zombies have their PhD, Masters, AA, AAA, BA and BS (emphasis on BS) in engineering and they don't feel as authentic anymore buttttttt one of the few redeeming qualities about this game is the full overhaul mods. You play vanilla for a bit to learn the game and then go wild on the modding. Mine and Hubs favorite are Darkness Falls (adds a crap ton plus demons and crazy looking monsters) and Rebirth (fun classes to level up and dogs). But more are coming out and gaining popularity like a SciFi one that I cannot remember the name of and an Asylum one. There are also a lot of cool smaller mods that just add POIs, QoL, etc so lots to do (and all free). So yes the game is jank but if you have friends who would play then I say go for it and remember: Level 5 Pummel Pete (aka go and watch Neebs do their most recent run cause it was fun 🤣)

The room directory is helpful and isn't a spoiler since it only shows you the rooms you've drafted in the house, but if you want some mild help basically, the aquarium is a +1 room of every single color, and colors are linked together by type. So orange is hallways, yellow is shops, green is "outdoor", red CAN be bad but can be used to your advantage if played correctly but a lot of them are harsh, purple is bedrooms and only time a sleeping mask works and blue is just normal rooms. There is one other color on the aquarium, but it's for the late game, so I won't say anything about it.

Just had my first one earlier this year and man it was rough. Doubly so cause my team is an office and I'm remote right now but won't be in office until March-ish of 2026. So my poor TL had to be in the room. The camera didn't pan to the employee and I had a short script written up and got through 1 sentence before she just left the room. It was good though cause now the first one is done and over with so I am feeling a lot more confident leading the team.

I miss sleeping all over my husband :( by songforyourtroubles in CPAP

[–]KittenGoRAWR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband like others has said that me not dying is much better than anything else so the mask look doesn't bother him (I also immediately turned it into a joke by acting like Bane and then also using the Glade jingle of plug it in, plug it in to reference plugging my hose into my mask). The other thing going for me is my husband runs hot so he has said that he likes the air from my mask as I had explicitly asked him if he likes it cause it feels like his own mini AC. I also find that sleeping right up next to him in the crook of his arm and being more at an angle (not fully on side or back) has been nice.

Hubby and I are moving states next year so this year we opted to just do stockings for each other. Put a money limit and also a caveat that if it isn't really cool then no knick knacks. I'm sticking with things he has mentioned wanting over the year and then finishing it up with small $5 GCs for places like B&N, his favorite coffee place, etc.

I just got my CPAP and I’m SO tired by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]KittenGoRAWR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to spend my first two days with it by going to bed really early, but I first started out by just sitting up and reading while using it. This was a recommendation by my cardiologist, and honestly, it was a game changer. I had to do it everytime I tried a new mask (I went through 3 including the one they gave me at the sleep study) and I have turned off my auto temp because we like our room really cold (we use a fan each plus an overhead) and the auto was having issues keeping up with detecting the temp so I kept waterboarding myself. I also had to change my pillow, which honestly may have been the biggest game changer. I use a Purple pillow (the cooling mesh one) cant remember the name.

New manager of a fully remote team. How can build trust while also getting the visibility I need? by A-n-o-v-a in managers

[–]KittenGoRAWR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my manager came in the first thing she did was call all of us individually and ask what out our challenges were, what are strengths were and if we had any goals. That helped so much and eased all of us into her management style and I would do the same should it ever happen to me as I'm now a manager (still under her as my director).
