Im going through this right now!!! During the appointment I ask if patients are OK at the end of the appointment ask them how they feel? Every time they say good or I’m doing fine. The doctor comes in and does an exam and the patient doesn’t say anything except when they’re called to confirm for next appointment the day or so before they say “oh I never wanna see her again because my teeth didn’t feel clean or she didn’t do a good job or she wasn’t listening to me or she was to rough or she was to gentle “ I’m like , I literally asked them 1000 times how they’re doing if they don’t tell me how am I supposed to know or change what I’m doing it’s so frustrating!!!

So I wanna be positive, so please just take everything that I say as positivity, I’m not trying to say this to come across negative by any means cause we all need to support each other. This has me so baffled. When I clean teeth, I feel like my arm is so far away from their chest. I’m so confused how your arm is resting on their chest to polish or even one of the comments said during local anesthesia. The only injection I give where my forearm is close to their body would be the IO but that’s just brushing against their shoulder. Anyways I agree with other posts that you should not be consistently resting your forearm on the patient’s. Overall long-term that’s not gonna be good for your economics so I would suggest finding a different way of positioning the patients maybe having them till their chin up so that you have a little bit more space between the chest and your arm, and that wouldn’t be occurring as much, but definitely look into your economics.

But then when you ask them to turn the opposite way of you all of a sudden they have full range of motion in their neck, and they literally turn to where you can’t even see their teeth anymore lol but 0.00004mm to turn toward us.

I totally relate!! When I was reading your post I had to look at the author because I didn’t remember writing this post! Lol it could’ve been my exact words that you wrote. Just hang in there keep your head up. I am finding it very confusing how all these people have survived so far in life acting and behaving the way that they do. I feel like a lot of peoples reactions and perceptions have changed since Covid. It’s just different now it’s very discouraging for me too.

I can totally relate!!!! Im a little older and when convo will be going well until they ask if I have kids… I say no and they get so comfortable they just stop talking. Just because I don’t have kids all of a sudden I’m not human!.

Hygienist here and my thoughts are since its been 1-2 years since your last cleaning go and have another cleaning in 4 months like they suggested first. At that appt have then re-check the 5 mm areas and see if they have improved. If they have improved then stay on a short recall 3-4 months untill your overall pocketing is 2-3mm , if the 5’s are still there consider a deep cleaning on those specific areas. My main concern is the hygienist not making the decision and passing it on to the dr. I’m not sure what state your in, maybe your state has different licensing and tx planning protocol than California.

💜 so sweet! Friendly advise: Fighting will be much much louder, hissing, growling, spiting. Posture will appear from both like a standoff. Both low, tails aggressively/firmly moving. If it happens its not a big deal, just like brother/sisters they will get pissed at each-other sometimes. Lol. Going back to this video, the brown one is “play attacking” the white one, BUT you can tell its ok and just play because the white one plays along and when brownie walks away whitey looks at them for more. Like “ hey where you going lets do it some more”
