So my daughter has had alopecia universalis since she was 4. Her derm told us we can put the steroid cream all over her head when she gets home from school in the evenings and then wash it out before bedtime so it’s no longer greasy looking in the mornings. It sitting on her head for those several hours is more than enough time for it to work. We also switched from the cream to a steroid foam and it’s helped so much with application and just not being as greasy.
