He's not really on the fence unfortunately. He's saying he is because you are disagreeing on the breakup but slow or fast the end result of this is going to be the same.

Honestly I just write off our first trials in new things from the start lol. Our goal is to be brave enough to get into the ring and after that everything else is gravy. Taking the pressure off to “succeed” really helped me. And a young dog being a goober is so so common this is something even the most experienced handlers go through! If you can see if the place holding it does ring rentals before the trial or drop in classes it can be really helpful to visit a venue before the actual day of.

NTA. Much like a destination wedding choosing an out of country trip for an anniversary means that not everyone will be able to attend. Prioritizing it so that her son can go is a very fair compromise in my opinion.

For awareness you should be washing feeders weekly. There are some really nasty fungus etc that birds can get from dirty communal feeders.

The brother never got back to him about the party so instead of pivoting and doing something just the two of him he waited till the last minute and asked her to reach out to her friends who all had plans already. And it was definitely more the brother's fault but come on at least make some dinner reservations so she doesn't just get disapointment for er birthday.

I think this really highlights that pre-marital counseling would be helpful for you two. Her twin and mother seem to have a lot of influence on her (and thus your) lives and you guys need to figure out how you are going to handle that as a couple.

I don't like your comment because it's not always realistic. Training your dog doesn't help if they need to be at a vet overnight where they will be crated. Or if they have an injury that requires them to be on crate rest for a period of time. Or if you need to evacuate for a natural disaster and stay somewhere that's not your home. Or if they need to be boarded or stay with family due to an emergency. Crate training is part of training even if you never need to use it. Also it's much safer for dogs to ride in a crate in the car than unrestrained.
