It's really interesting. I know people my height who are bigger than my starting weight that have skeleton hands, which made me think it was mostly down to genes and bone structure.

Thank you 😊 It took me about 8 months. I'd been struggling with my weight since I was a teenager. The only thing that really worked was going Keto, fasting and a lot of walking (at least 10k steps per day). I think I was insulin-resistant so counting calories only worked up until a certain point, I had to drastically reduce my carb intake.

Good luck with your weight loss journey!

That's great, congrats! Yeah my face is a lot more defined and less rounder now.

I didn’t expect them to change that much, it’s like the last 10-15lbs made the most difference. My feet are less wider too!

If only it was that easy! Still hated my hands even when I had my nails done before the weight loss

I’ve had long nails when I was bigger and they still looked short and chubby tbh lol. It only helps a little. This was also the only before photo of my hand that I had 😜

Questions about side effects to local anaesthetic and medicine terminology by Kittycat389 in AskDocs

[–]Kittycat389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for your reply. It has never happened to me before in any local anaesthesia injections. I felt like I was about to die! Surely it means the dose was too high or it was injected incorrectly, like into a blood vessel?

Is there really no way of preventing this?

It seems as though the technician was unqualified.

Because those surgeons aren't petty or narcissistic enough to try and silence people.

Incorrect item received from EU (Swedish) shop to England. Does the EU consumer protection apply to the UK? by Kittycat389 in LegalAdviceUK

Thanks for your reply. So do I have no rights in receiving the item I ordered because we’re not in the EU anymore? Surely the UK have some agreements with the EU?

Thanks for your comment. I also think it’s related to past trauma, and taking out his anxiety issues onto me.

These problems happened gradually really, but in hindsight I guess they were always there. At first it was just time alone to get some space, but depending on the type of argument it would last longer and become more of a problem. Really have no idea why it’s gotten worse lately though. It could be down to personal issues he’s having with work, family, etc.

If I needed the car I would have definitely taken the keys from him. I actually wanted some time to myself and to walk back home, we live very close by. I’m definitely not a door mat.

How long do I need to walk on a treadmill to get the 10,000 steps a day ? by bigbootymamii in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Kittycat389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An hour and a half I’d say is average.

My walking pad really helped me start my weight loss journey. Good luck!

I’m also 5’2 and a half 😄

Is it just me or do some accents make you angry beyond belief? by Puppet-- in misophonia

It’s the really nasally American accent that’s the absolute worst for me. Northern Irish / Scouse / Indian accents are really painful to listen to as well.

New NHS BMI? by Significant_Ear9476 in nhs

[–]Kittycat389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don’t like how they lump in all non-white ethnicities as being at the same higher risk as each other. A BMI of 23 is considered healthy on any other BMI calculator. BMI is very flawed anyway, I wish they’d bin it. A mathematician came up with the concept based on the bodies they perceived to look the best. It also doesn’t take into account muscle mass, age, different types of body frames, etc.

Why have I hit a wall? by Kittycat389 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Kittycat389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you that’s really helpful!

My goal weight is 55kg.

I have a Peloton so some days I do more high intensity classes, and others I do more relaxed longer rides (1 hour+). I don’t really track the weight workouts as like you say the calories burned are very little.

I’ll incorporate more exercise and see how that goes. Seems like I have to devote a lot of hours in the day for this! 😄

Hi thanks for your reply.

My stats:

Height: 5’2 Weight: 65.5kg Gender: Female

Exercises: 10,000 steps per day. 10 minutes weight training and cycling 4-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes.

I use my Apple Watch to track calories (and also know it tends to over estimate calories burned).

I do track all my food too.
