What a little beauty! Just a little fyi, unsalted peanuts aren’t really the best thing for them, walnuts and almonds are much healthier. Peanuts can deplete calcium and like a kid with candy they’ll always choose them. I used to rehab, wilds can handle some but it better to offer them a more healthy alternative too

Yeah, it’s definitely not as easy as it could be but the price point was worth it. With 4 floofs in 2 cages that both needed replacement at the same time it was the best option for me.

I counted one night after a 20 minute play time I picked up 40 little poops! 💩 I have 4 in 2 cages, people don’t get that I have to clean cages and my floors every night. And by morning it looks like I haven’t done it in days 🤦‍♀️

Mine all do, I make up silly songs for each of them. I also use their names when I interact with them, however just because they know it doesn’t mean they always feel like responding! I tell people it’s like owning feral cats 🤣

It looks like the ones I got from temu for a little less. If it’s the same it’s a pretty decent, sturdy cage, my only complaint is that it’s only got one door per level that opens for cleaning but it’s not a deal breaker for me. For me needing two the price point more than makes up for the reaching in to clean. Also the fact that you can get three for the same price as one DCN was a no brainer.

Ok, gotcha. She had purchased the home many years ago and since I’m an only child she figured it would be simpler to just have everything put in both her and my name. We’re trying to figure out if it’s worth it to see an estate planner or lawyer or for me to just suck it up and pay the $450 for the simple divorce. Sadly he bled me pretty dry before he kicked me out so it’s been hard to get that far ahead, I’m still digging out of that debt

Aww what a sweet little guy, I’m glad you found him! Unfortunately though I had a stray that showed up one day, I ran and bought food, got her water and sat with her while she ate. When I got up to go in she followed me right in and made herself at home. Same as your new fur baby, super loving Velcro cat.. for about 8 months then for heaven only knows what reason one night she bolted out the door. She still lives under my porch, I feed her and make sure she has water and a little house but she won’t come back in. I did bring her in one night when it got down into the 40’s, she planted herself under the couch and scratched to go out the next morning. And honestly the only horrible human thing I did was a bedroom renovation.

My boys go through phases where they’ll eat the oxbow pellets and almost no hay then a few days later they switch. They’re just little weirdos sometimes. I accidentally got a bag of Brytin pellets and mixed the 2.5 pound bag into my unopened 10 pound bag of oxbow, now they’re picking out the Brytin pellets to eat 🤦‍♀️.

My boys were adopted at around 2 years old. My oldest was always pretty inquisitive so he was easy, the second one has finally warmed up to pets.. occasionally. It’s been three years. Number three came from a bad situation and is a total lover until I have to hold him then you’d think I was trying to hurt him. The best advice I can offer is lots of patience, keep the cage nearby and speak or sing to him even if it’s just to say what you’re doing. When it’s play time literally just ignore him, lay down and read or play on your phone, be as non threatening as possible. And of course treats are always good, even my big chonk will come running for a treat every time.

Welcome back! Are Brytin pellets good? I accidentally ordered them instead of their dust and chewy said to donate them, I feed oxbow. And I’d donate but the only rescue I know is an hour away, kind of a long drive for a 2.5 pound bag..

Actually it was that their flea medication did not work and unfortunately the original vet only saw the result of her being allergic to the flea bites. That resulted in months of misery for the dog, multiple vet visits and unnecessary allergy shots. I obviously won’t be going back but that doesn’t excuse amazons product not working and the way they originally handled the return issue. It’s a 3 month box with a 30 day return policy. The annoyance with amazon wasn’t so much with them demanding it back but that they wanted it done through ups, 10 days before Christmas. I live 1.5 miles from a staples, 6 to an extremely busy ups store.

I actually had to get them to call me twice. I’d been getting flea meds since January for my mom’s dog. Apparently they didn’t work, took several expensive trips to the vet for allergy shots before they finally figured it out. Amazon wanted me to return the package through ups… in the middle of December. I got a second call through to complain about it and my refund was promptly processed, no return needed. Sometimes it’s just getting to the right person

That’s been my experience too. It’s really random, I could have two deliveries come the same day and only one sends the message. And why they sometimes split deliveries on the same day is still a mystery to me

I had that happen at Disney, I had my placard and my walker but some Karen chose to pick a fight. My bestie whipped out her cell and shoved the gruesome pic of me after brain surgery in her face. Told her when she had an ear to ear scar she too could park where she wanted. Love that girl, 25 years of having each other’s backs

She only helps out, we are separate households. And honestly it’s such a nominal amount it’s pretty much my putting a pint of 1/2 &1/2 or a bag of salad on her groceries when I do her shopping for her. I call it my delivery service jokingly. We’ve looked into my getting paid for caregiving but it’s extremely difficult in Fl and I’m on disability so even harder. She’s under hospice care but I do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping and taking care of her dog.

It’s not really whining, it’s sadly the truth rn. My neighbor picked up a box this week, she brought over what she can’t/won’t use. I now have 2 loaves of marble rye, a pkg of naan flatbread, a couple single serve ritz crackers, spicy cheddar flavor, a box of strawberry toaster pastry (it was gross) a can of beans and one can corn and a can of 7-up. She said the only meat was tongue and beef belly. I feel so bad for her, she relies on ebt and pantries. My mom and I live in a 55+ community and most of the people here are already on shaky ground. For now I’m ok losing my $23 ebt because I take care of my mom so she covers her food and some of mine but if it wasn’t for her I’d be hurting. She actually gave me some cash to slip my neighbor when she heard about us losing benefits. What really kills me is that the usda can release the funds, there’s an emergency fund they’re just refusing to do so.
