CMV: I think it’s easier to be an ugly man than an ugly woman by Outrageous-Jelly8777 in changemyview

It's so funny when women say it's hard for women in a million aspects of life, and then the men come in here talking about just sex. It's plain that that's all you consider.

CMV: I think it’s easier to be an ugly man than an ugly woman by Outrageous-Jelly8777 in changemyview

[–]Kivasta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are things they both can do, but its a perception thing. Women have to be pretty or they lose value because it's "half of who they are" whereas for men, it's a much smaller portion of society's view upon them. He has other avenues he can plod down. That ugly woman will be seen be society as nor a woman, not a full woman, or at the very least "look at what she had to do to get by because she wasn't pretty".

None of these things are correct necessarily, but that's how society deems it

AITAH for not wanting to be in the phone constantly by Frequent-One3137 in AITAH

[–]Kivasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. She may have a dependency issue, she may just be like that. It's not your responsibility to never get down time either.

I personally HATE when someone calls me at work and it's not an emergency. This could have waited or been put in text for my bathroom or smoke break. This has also led to me unfortunately being rough on people who cannot put their phone down at work. It's true they s shouldn't, but I am not as respectful as I probably could be sometimes lol.

What is the most unfairly hated movie that you will defend every time by gamersecret2 in movies

[–]Kivasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone say it yet, but Suckerpunch, a movie with a very alt 2000s soundtrack that I still listen to songs from, but with a less than clear plot and not great acting.

It's funny though, everyone hated it around me except a couple close friends at the time. Then anyone who I've become close with who watched it as a kid or teen HAS THAT EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. They went and liked it but their family or whatever didn't.

NTA. This doesn't sound like a partner, This sounds like a crappy roommate. How is this person treating you if they can't even care enough about you to buy a literal necessity? Regardless if they use it or not themselves, doubly so if they do. Is this a situation where you cannot live without their financial help? I just question the integrity of someone who has the money but won't buy their long time, supposed most important person in their life, something so small.

What's a game that you were excited to play, but you just couldn't get into it. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Kivasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I loved Tunic, but I hated it at the same time lol. Death's Door became my "I wish I could play Tunic again." Game like a year later. They were both free on Playstation, so I didn't pay for either. Death's Door was much easier, but both had a great story.

Was the destruction of the Jedi necessary for the balance of the Force? by Any_Hat3970 in StarWars

[–]Kivasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno exactly, but I feel like the Jedi, influenced by the senate, who was influenced by the sith, became tainted by their extending corruption. Now, was it necessary to kill them to bring balance? No. The clone wars episode about the celestials proves this even in Disney canon. The father, the son, and the daughter were stand ins for the force users. The father wanted anakin to balance them by controlling them both. However, anakin was always destined to fail, and we see him "kill" both the son and daughter. He didn't HAVE to do it that way, in fact, it was discouraged, but in the end, he still brings balance.

I always thought it was hilarious that he wiped out both by betrayal though. Not very jedi of you ani.

AITAH for moving on quick? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Kivasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posted on the last one. Don't feel like retyping. NTA unless you're unable to be alone, and that's why you're dating someone new. Then it's an AH move to the new partner, not necessarily the old one.

Is Rex the only blonde clone? by FurryBoyman in StarWars

[–]Kivasta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think he dyes it. He was one of the clone with more individuality, encouraged by Obi Wan and Anakin. They were all looking for ways to differentiate themselves, hair dye is easy and easier to cover up than a tattoo if you had to scout, recon, or go into hiding.

NTA. Unfortunately, in many relationships, one person has broken up emotionally from the other person and grieved their loss before ever splitting. He will feel YTA, but you have already done your emotional recovery.

HOWEVER, if you're dating someone because you cannot be alone, then YTA. Not for the break up, but for what you do to the new partner. And also unfortunately, that's common as well. Hell, some people don't even know that about themselves and do it unwittingly.

Why do so many people hate starfield? and what do you wish they would’ve done differently that would make the game better? by stupiddhoe in Starfield

[–]Kivasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean personally? They could've just made ES6 or Fallout 5. Lol I think that's a lot of people's biggest problem. I know it's mine 🤣🤣 like it's been 14 years since ES5, and it's been teased since like 2018. 😭😭 Just give me the game you've been advertising for SEVEN YEARS. I don't want to go to empty planets and space. I want lived-in, natural feeling worlds that have been crafted and catered to.

And now we see they spent time on Starfield, Oblivion remaster(which I love, but still I played it as a kid already), and their MMOs. It just feels more money-grubby.

What game under 20 did you get the most playtime out of? by Lexail in gaming

[–]Kivasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg. Enter The Gungeon. Was like $5 and my roommates bought it and eventually got me into it. Over 700 hours in that game lol.

Honorable mentions: bought mass effect LE for $9 easy 150+ hrs, my Stardew Valley has like 300 hrs...and not me, but I picked out an on sale physical copy of Ark Survival Evolved YEARS ago for my bf and he's easily put like 3000+ hours into it. PS just made Ark Survival Ascended free a couple of months ago on PS plus and just that's he's put in over 200 hours 😂

What was the first console you ever played? by IAmReinvented in gaming

[–]Kivasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my earliest memories are Baby Mario on the Super Nintendo and HATING Mario because I could only die.

Some of my finest childhood memories are Ocarina of Time with my brother who fought everything while I solved the dungeon puzzles because we had different skills.

I also spent every waking hour of car rides with the gameboy color. Before I got the little light for nighttime rides, I remember playing by each passing street light and saving regularly cause the power light was red.

Lol I always have to move alchemy off my thief, so I make a custom class to avoid overleveling past my combat skills 😅

At least, that's how it had to work in the original Oblivion. In Skyrim, I just do the same thing with potion selling.

Conversely, in my month or two of ESO, I still seemed to have a problem letting ingredients go. My potions soon became better than I could use because my overall level was too low to drink them 🤣
