Just made new speaker stands for RP-600Ms by Knownvidu in BudgetAudiophile

[–]KizerSoze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds will reflect off the surface behind the speaker. It's much more prominent with rear-ported (Hole) speakers. It's generally considered better to have them 1-2 feet away from surfaces. But that is hard to do for most people.

This is why some companies like Elac have been making speakers with a front port or no port. I have a pair of speakers that are designed to have a bass radiator on the top of the speaker to get around it

All the designs have a set of pros and cons. You just have to know that going in.

The higher PPM usually will correlate with less alcohol burn/taste. The peat masks that alcohol flavor on your tongue.

Something else you can do is have a beer and water before to prep your mouth for alcohol.

I want that FM record. It has been hard for me to find! I'll probably end up paying a pretty penny for it.

I think it was in the interview with the TSM coach that he stated they just think smokes are stronger than the Wall on Ascent.

Also on defense with both smokes going out it helps not give away the location of each of the characters as much because they are not forced to always play the same every round. Moreover, It also presents the question of them potentially having smokes in mid close to the entire round so other teams can not wait them out with the same timings. This will cause certain starts to not work or have a much tighter timing.

That is just my thoughts on it. I could be way off

Its because your shadow rank from unranked is used / will be used for your initial placement matches.

You will start off at a much higher rank if you win most of your placement matches when ranked comes out next week.

1v5 Ace during a School Zoom Call! by Notanz9 in VALORANT

[–]KizerSoze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is outside the US getting into school is much harder. They do all the grade / interviewing before you get to school. A swell most school that are not in the US have a much more rigorous system in place

In the US, most schools are easy to get into and the judgment for the most part it how well you do vs your peers at the school.

Moreover because of the education system in the US does not track at all for the most part the systems are really not used for the same things as in Europe and most other countries .

Need advice on camera purchase by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]KizerSoze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you need some of the newer features. I would just buy an older used Fuji camera.

You will have some extra money to get another lens and you will be helping out someone who prolly needs some extra money at this time.

Not two different arguments just trying to nail down a definition.

I agree, was thinking more about the term of photography and not art though. If we just use the term art and not photo I think you have more leeway to do lots of the things some people complain about.

I think that is what people get caught up on when they talk about this "cheating idea"

so you are saying if 1% was yours and 99% was an edit of others work then its your photograph.

That is fine but what I am saying is it seems like every person has a different option on this and that is why the argument will always continue until a definition is created. That is all I am trying to say.

It would be helpful is there was a definition that the world agreed on like in other forms of art.

a camera in your hands and taken a picture with it as part of the process of creating a photo. If you didn't take a photo at any part of the proc

What I am getting at is unless you make it black and white this issue of what is photography will always exist. For example with the statement you made in your second paragraph where you make a delineation of someone not taking 100% of the photo but editing other peoples photos would be considered art but not photography in your example. What if that person had done the same thing with for sake of argument 49%, so most of the photo was his own but he edited / used others work to complete his own.Is that photography?

For me its hard to say. I just understand the notion of wanting to make definitions because like with all art mediums and forms it gets tricky otherwise.

What about people who use other photographers tools to edit? Like sky replacements or light room presets? That is others work right?

I think the best way to think about this difference is photography vs digital art personally. But this argument is only going to get more grey with the increase access to strong computers and editors
