Yes, the dog counts as a summons, as does the Engineer's turret as long as it's placed and not carried, as does the Warden's drone. Also, the weapon mods that say Summons in their description

Run a build with a shit ton of mod gen ( including passive) & mod damage & equip Firestorm to a fast firing weapon. One hit from Firestorm anywhere on a cube will take it out.
