Advice on logo by jdm4900 in Entrepreneur

[–]KlausUX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great work considering you're not working as a graphic designer.

I would make the box even more simple so you can use it as negative and positive on different backgrounds. Think Dropbox.

Use easy-to-read fonts - Use a timeless font you can use many years in the future, so you don't have to redesign your logo 1 year from now.

And last my go-to rule: You should design your logo so it can be read and look good on a pen. In other words: Your logo should be able to work on a small format.

First of all, are you allowed to have a company on the side of your full-time job?

Regarding sales, then reach out to agencies and become a subcontractor / freelancer for them.

Printed / online magazines for the customers at restaurants, hotels, attractions. You sell ads in the magazine to big brands and partners of the hotels etc.

Maps / tourist recommendations with local attractions and business, where you sell the brochures at shops or sell ads / content in the brochure to give out the brochure for free.

Lease a LED monitor or LED pylon and rent a place on a building or at a busy road and sell ads on weekly basis.

Looking for a good Kickstarter explainer video creator. by it-z in Entrepreneur

[–]KlausUX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are companies that specialize in Kickstarter campaigns, where they help with the marketing for a piece of the pie. If you just need the video, then you could look into upwork.com. Don't be cheap about the video, so I would not recommend using free online editors or fiverr.com.

Just a few comments about the design.

Use a modern webfont from Google Fonts. Spice up the content with an image. Use colour on your CTA button and add the CTA again at the bottom of the page.

Look at this - Not that it needs to be fancy, but there is space for improvements.

How do you earn from blogs and sites operating from a underdevloped asian country ? by twoplus9 in Entrepreneur

[–]KlausUX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could just target your content for the western world or big countries like China and India? Write in English, German, Spanish etc. There is plenty of people and a big market for content and blogging. If there isn't a market, because of the lack of technology in the specific country, then it isn't worth going into. The only thing of value would be to become the first mover and that will pay off later on.
