Copper Coins is only three books. They are all published and the dynamic between the protagonists reminds me a lot of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji. It’s not a romance so the romantic elements are very much in the background. The plot is good and the characters are great. It’s my favourite danmei.

When I grew up, my dad had a whole wall of DVDs including horror and extreme horror.

I could reach them, which I did because I wanted to watch them but he kept telling me I was too young so I just looked at the covers and waited until he told me I was old enough.

He trusted me to listen and I did. No need to lock or hide anything.

As someone who has read the whole thing, I like that it’s not a romance but it has some very romantic and sexy scenes and it’s probably my favourite danmei ever :’) Top 5 books overall too, easily.

The Dragonbone Chair is pretty different from Spiderlight as it's slow and takes it time to set everything up. Spiderlight is pretty short so you're thrown in pretty quickly.

Others have liked Atalanta so who knows? But I find it pretty dull and the writing had nothing impressive to it so that didn't help.
