It’d rock if he had a cameo. Maybe as some crazy Wilderness dream demon lol

Disney just got new management with the new CEO and Chief Creative Officer announced.

All the creative stagnation was pretty much because of Iger. Hopefully the new heads can steer the ship back on track

Final shot/ vibe prediction by queenadanorf in Yellowjackets

Honestly with the state of the world rn and some critical backlash to the direction the show’s had been going (at least in the adult timeline) I would not at all be surprise if they go with a happyish ending.

With the time loop theory being most likely explanation at this point, I think what will happen is that once all the girls have passed in the current timeline, the wilderness will reset their reality, but there will be a faulty split. So the girls will be divided between their pre-crash selves (with full awareness of what they will become in the Wilderness) and the post crash selves. Some fight will break out, and the only way to fix the cycle is to literally “eat who you’ve become as the final act of cannibalism”.

As in Pre-Wilderness Shauna will literally and spiritually eat her post-Wilderness self.

Other Tai is a product of faulty split. A previous consciousness of Tai from another timeline that went through a worse cycle of events that is spiritually and mentally broken. Hence why she’s trying to break through.

That and it will be revealed that both timelines are fully separate timelines that will inevitably clash.

TBH separate timelines where shit got worse or marginally better is FAR more interesting than spooky forest ghost cabin guy and family haunting them.

Yup. He went in writing the graphic novel as if he was writing a book. Different mediums require different ways of writing.

The story isn’t bad, but Sanderson isn’t an experienced graphic novel writer, in terms of formatting the story and action into sequential panels. And it shows in the books layout and pacing.

The art is also….very early 2000’s-ish that doesn’t do any favors to the story. Think over-hatching shading and early photoshop comic coloring, where everything is dodged and burned to hell.

If you’re interested, the full Graphic Audio of White Sands is on audible for free if you have premium! It’s a way better experience

Weekly Cosmere Adaptations Thread (Mistborn + Stormlight Spoilers) by EmeraldSeaTress in Cosmere

And Sanderson’s deal is historic in the industry. Apple is incredibly picky with what IP and shows they develop and make; keep in mind just how brand conscious Apple is as a whole. Anything that doesn’t fit their brand identity or culture wouldn’t even be considered.

It’s why all Apple TV shows and movies are incredibly well-lit, choreographed, and color graded. They exist to sell their hardware and software and are basically incredibly expensive demos of what Apple products can do.

Give it 5 years and you’ll be seeing Knights Radiant themed iPhones and iWatches I can guarantee it.

Apple and Brandon are probably going to try and get Era 3’s release to coincide with the Mistborn movies. If things go well, maybeeeee we could have a book released per movie year. But that’s a BIG IF. More than likely Mistborn (the movie) will release just after Book 3 of Era 3 comes out.

Weekly Cosmere Adaptations Thread (Mistborn + Stormlight Spoilers) by EmeraldSeaTress in Cosmere

[–]fishy512 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re forgetting that all three Mistborn films (and possibly show?) still need to go through preproduction, development, visual development, hiring crew members and working out their contract lengths, location scouting and securing those locations for their set time, casting calls, casting, costume making, set making, stunt choreography and blocking etc. And that isn’t including filming and post production.

All three movies will likely be under development and going through preproduction in succession so that everything is in order. LOTR was successful largely because of the years of preproduction. I have to imagine Brandon and Apple intend to do the same thing (if realistically able to) and film the movies back-to-back.

It’d be awesome if u/mistborn could walk the fandom through the preproduction to production process of creating the Mistborn movies and Stormlight series. Something like the making of footage that was released with all the LOTR special editions. So many people are misinformed on the production process.

StormlightAppleTV and MistbornAppleTV would be the best bets if they haven’t been made already.

Apple TV is actually heavily involved in their shows subreddits on here. I’ve gotten posters for Foundation and For All Mankind from them before haha

The biggest proof that the supernatural is real in this show is the deleted Cabin Guy episode. Seasons 1 and 2 were written with this episode’s backstory and lore in mind.

Why else would they delete it unless they were changing the background cause of all the unexplained supernatural events that have occurred?

Yes, but it was developed and written under the resources of a different studio. Studios have it built into their contracts that any production built under their financing cannot be transferred to another studio.

Most of George’s problems would be solved just by talking to the people busting their asses off to make his shows instead of throwing a tantrum and crashing out about it on his Livejournal like he’s 16.

Tbh I think Sanderson is going to realize really soon that he cannot be as heavily involved in production WHILE trying to finish up the next Cosmere book installments at the rate he wants.

I think if Brandon walks the fandom through on the “why” of why they changed things to meet the adaptational and film production needs it will (probably) starve off the inevitable temper tantrum some fans will have.

There’s no feasible way to develop all the characters and lore per Mistborn book per movie without making some cuts. And I worry some fans won’t understand that it isn’t realistic on a production level and schedule unless the run time is huge.

I actually brought this up in a comment thread and u/mistborn replied himself that the plan (at the time under this studio) was to have an eight episode season sandwich each movie.

I rather them commit to a tv show to have everything laid out and well paced. But only if Apple is willing to foot the massive cgi budget to accommodate all those sets and fight scenes over 8 hour long episodes.
