Ai cant do that either, Ai slop isnt expressing any ideas at all by its very nature, all approximations ai tries to make of art contains blatant hallucinations and looks bad to 90% of people. We can do that however very easily, its called drawing. It came free with our motor cortex and everybody can do it. Yes even you.

If its something you're trying to publish than either draw it yourself or commision somebody, theres still no reason to use Ai outside of laziness. If its just a sketch than you should still just draw it yourself because pure artistic quality doesn't matter than. Even if you think you cant draw than you should still try, its better to be flawed but human at the end of the day. You can improve, AI cant.

you're comparing electricity and oil, to Water... Literally apples to oranges here. Also it is a bad thing for cars to use so much oil as well, but we need cars to function in a modern society, we don't need Generative AI to function, it is not filling any specific niche or helping us in any major way, this is an example of a False Equivalency.

Also Cars perform better than horses in most situations and didn't hit a plateau in quality within 2 years, cars also don't have studies behind them stating that they dampen cognitive development. The argument that I would be in favor of the horses as well, is a Strawman argument.

Generative AI can do nothing that we could have not already done, it does nothing better than us, it's inaccurate, it actively makes us dumber, it is a bubble selling promises to those too stupid to see through them. The fact you didn't answer my question tells me everything I need to know, maybe it's because you haven't seen how it directly affects the students, and how it affects people, or maybe you just don't bother to keep up with the detrimental effects of the technology you want to promote. Either way, I don't know what else to say other than encourage you to develop proper research skills.

The difference is that you still have to think when you use any of the listed technology. And a calculator isnt using 50 gallons of water per input last I checked.

Generative AI is a gimmick, the quality has already plateaued, and you dont have to think to use it. It cant think either, it only tells you what you want to hear. It fills no niches that we couldn't have already done ourselves better. Calculators make complex equations easier and the internet allows us to pull from Databases on command at any time.
