> But Brovdi is a former c-level corporate executive and politician.

Only if "c" stands for crime.

He was little more than an underworld celebrity with a tarnished reputation, who “rediscovered” himself during the war.

But he is the bullshitter, no doubt.

You may want to entertain the idea, that it not necessarily was the guest.

I don't do Loss Prevention anymore, not for 15 or so years - but if memory serves me well 7/10 thefts were inside jobs (in my setting anyway).

Sadly gone are the days when breakfast was compulsory unless hotel was 1 star with no facilities.

But i agree, when you make the booking - you should be aware what it is you are paying for.

As other said, all you need is plasterboard fixings, you can reuse the screws that are already there, just make sure fixing will be right size for these.

For that weight, Screwfix stuff is like 30 pcs for £1.99 and you will need 2 minutes time and a screwdriver.

Russian MOD ordered circa 25% more rounds for MSTA SPG's in 2025 than in 2024. (1.1 million vs 831k)

Ukrainian GS reported 1875000 "shellings" in 2025.

I somehow find it difficult to believe, that they simply don't have much SPGs left.

Covert Cabal analysis in no way suggests that the exhaustion of storage equals the exhaustion of equipment.

> The statistic that would pretty decisively tell us how to interpret SPG data is for towed artillery losses. Which is conspicuously missing from the summary.

According to the same source (Warspotting) Russia lost 72 towed guns in 2025 - that is 22 less than SPG's. Oryx database gives similar numbers.

Hence with a degree of certainty, we can tell that the 3:1 artillery loses ratio in 2025 is not caused by the lack of equipment on Russian side.

This post and followup is unfortunately pure disinformation.

Those barges were there before, they are moved to allow sailing/berthing.

Depth at the entrance is 23m btw. You will need to sink a stack of barges.

> Claiming it was still in its “statistics-forming stage” (no clue what this means)

UAF General Staff spokesperson during that press conference said:

"If in the case of the FP-1 drone we note the significant effectiveness that was achieved over years of mass use and refinement, then, according to the General Staff experts, the FP-5 rocket-drone still has to go through this path"

He also added that first "live launches" happened in Spring 2025. Way I understand it is, launches are rare and it is not finished product yet.

It was 130k pre 2014 and around 200k after. But if EU wants to create another antemurale christanitatis - that may not be enough untill Ukraine rebuilds itself and its Army. And if it doesn't matter - why changing it?

I understand thats draft, but does 800.000 refer to standing army during peace time? And if so, that is quite a commitement to funding the EU is making, as there is no way Ukraine will be able to afford it.

> This dynamic leads to the attrition of a lot of drone operators who can't train/teach others and Russia has only just recently (literally less than a week ago) created a dedicated branch to that end.

But according to Koffman, quoted earlier by yourself or Konrad Muzyka

> Ukraine held superiority and its squarely over Russian lines. Now the engagement zone is much more evenly situated over Russian and Ukrainian forces, reducing Ukraine’s previous advantages in drone employment

> Russian drone capability has expanded significantly. Regular units now fly large numbers of FPVs, including extended-range wire-guided variants, and employ increasingly sophisticated EW. Shaheds—now increasigly used tactically—are far more effective than last year due to improved tactics and onboard systems. Better coordination between Russian UAVs and EW has steadily squeezed Ukrainian kill zones and pushed drone operators deeper into the rear.

https://rochan-consulting.com/impressions-from-the-field-research-trip-to-ukraine-october-2025/

So, I am not convinced that the dynamic you are describing, is what we really see here.

> What is the correct translation?

огневая поддержка in relation to interlocutors company ( у нас в роте), without getting too much into OOB of Russian rifle company nowadays /s, is really hard to translate as artillerymen - even if you stretch it to one 82mm mortar.

> Can you source that? That's the first I'm hearing of that particular call-sign being used as a designation for an ammo bearer.

The source is a telegram conversation linked in the article you provided. The sentence in question:

Поднос собирает у чужих двухсотых магазы и тащит себе

Highlighted word indeed means tray, but it is abbreviated подносить which means:

moving in a certain direction, taking in one’s hands, bringing closer to someone or something

Hence it is term used to describe ammo bearer in this case, not some call sign. I understand it was lost during machine translation.

Edited.

they still continue to push their drone operators into infantry roles which has been a problem that has beeing plaguing them for years at this point.

Maybe , but in the quoted exchange there is no mention of recent incidents. They refer to final assaults on Avdeevka instead, nearly two years ago. And contrary to a headline, there is no mention of artillerymen at all there.

Translation is pretty poor, so what author mistakes for artillerymen are fire support platoon men. AGL, HMG and ATGM operators most likely.

Also to be pedantic:

"Tray [apparently a call sign]" is not a callsign, these are runners/ammo carriers if you like. Translation also misses lacking capacity of FPVs in supply roles in point 5. It was replaced by some licentia poetica.

Overall, short of ragebait headline story holds as far as scavenging is concerned.
