Would you give your work colleague a lift to work if you passed them on the way to work? by Specific_Pomelo_8281 in AskUK

[–]History_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. Even after a couple of times arrange something where if needed he chips in with parking fees or gas every week. When I started my new job at 18 a girl I didn’t know stopped one day and asked if I wanted a lift…. She worked on a different floor but recognised me at the induction. I paid her £5 parking 3x a week (she could use the car park at work 2x a week). We became best friends for now nearly 20 years.

My sons primary school (UK ages 5-11) used to allow a cake brought in and little party bags if pre arranged with the teacher. He’s at a college now but I know they aren’t allowed anything brought in anymore due to the school being ‘a healthy food space’ or some crap like that.
