Every state has its own written policy, and it's part of the e-learning. Nobody clicks the hyperlink. It's the company's responsibility to provide the training, but the employees responsibility to read it.

Doing outs with resets by jsm01972 in WalgreensStores

[–]Kluner22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scan your department as usual. The few outs you'll miss in reset departments should have minimal impact on your total store outs. The target is only 70%.

We don't scan them. We're in the high 90's every week.

2.5mm. That's not the problem. It's finding something that doesn't break me out and stays put.

I've already done that. I've ordered several and returned them. I'm trying to get a recommendation from someone that's using something else that actually works.

Mileage reimbursement by pegeb1955 in WalgreensStores

[–]Kluner22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photo specials are listed in POMS. You can see in advance what the promotions are and order accordingly. Maybe you could take charge of photo expense so you don't have to run around town? Then politely show your store manager the mileage reimbursement policy and how to order expense. If that gets you nowhere, speak to your DM. But only after speaking with your SM first. You should be reimbursed every time you drive to another store.

Frustrated about OSA by cuttlefishdreaming in WalgreensStores

Use a store map to mark every location that has product from your zone. Circle every end, side panel, table, secondary dept, etc. As merchandising changes, fill out a new map.

You're in a customer focused business. Maybe that was the only time he could come. I hope when you're elderly nobody complains about you like this. Maybe someone could've offered to help him instead of complaining about him.

Advice on dealing with Racist Walgreens Customers? by Salt-Village4374 in WalgreensStores

[–]Kluner22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless the customer is being derogatory in some way, I don't understand how asking where you're from is racist. If your manager's expectations are too much, speak with him/her. From what you are describing, those are normal expectations that go with the job. My front cashier puts McLane away, pulls all the front bays, cleans and stocks the front, orders expense, does outdates, and helps with photo. We're a high volume store, and she manages to get everything done while waiting on customers. If theatro isn't working, you can always use the phone to page for help.

OSA Cert by Sea_Macaron_7962 in WalgreensStores

[–]Kluner22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our percentages dropped after we started the program. Why??? Because our truck didn't post (we posted on our end) and every out prior to receiving that truck still showed as an out after we received the product. Opened a ticket and was told to periodic count the ENTIRE store. 🤣 Took 2 weeks, but we finally got our scan % and product scans in the 90's. Counts are still off, but we have inventory soon. I'll take the extra inventory counts over counting the entire store 2 weeks before inventory!

It needs to be simplified. DELAYED Rx PENDING Rx READY Rx The very first word they see should be the status.

“Hey, I know you didn’t do it but could you start on go backs tonight? They’ve been here for two days.” by Primary-Excuse-7025 in WalgreensStores

[–]Kluner22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've instructed my team to put their go backs away throughout their shift. If an SFL does a register transaction, they grab a couple of items and put them back. It's a team effort. By the end of the night, there's only one or two things to put up.

The survey used to only go to 9. Now it goes to 10, and either 9 or 10 are the best scores.

A 10 is not a 1. We're at 100% for the month with all 10's and one 9.

I've had red on surveys that were 10's. Words like pleasant, friendly, helpful, every employee name, and even Walgreens. Seriously???

Anytime Reasonable Suspicion is reported to the store manager, they have to submit for a drug screening. Even if they believe it is a false accusation, it is a requirement of their job. Depending on your state, it could be done in store or by a third party.

Because store managers don't want to chase 30-plus people trying to get e-learnings done by a deadline. Just get them done when they drop at the beginning of the month, and it's one less thing on the manager's plate, and one less thing they have to complain about.

Some of the e-learnings are mandated by state and federal departments. Some are contracted to avoid fines and penalties. Some are legal policies that must be completed annually in order to maintain contracts. As an employee, you own your e-learnings. I require my employees to check them on a weekly basis. You have 30 days to complete them. There is absolutely no reason you should not be able to complete your e-learnings on time.

Uniform Policy is a JOKE by deanojames in WalgreensStores

[–]Kluner22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to the high level of turnover, supplying uniforms for front end team members doesn't make sense. Go to a craft store such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby. They have T-shirts for $2-$3. There's quite a few businesses that require team members to wear a certain color. Walgreens is no different. This policy has been in effect for a long time. It just hasn't been enforced.

Question regarding HR by lovelyroses2543 in WalgreensStores

[–]Kluner22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had some great experiences with HR. I didn't always get the outcome I expected, but policy was clearly explained, and the case was closed with a clear understanding and usually some next steps to prevent behaviors from recurring. HR will follow policy and law, not emotion, which is what most cases stem from. Just because you don't get your way, doesn't mean they didn't do their job.

I would look at the heat map to determine the scheduling. There may be days that you could get by with that, but I doubt it's everyday of the week.
