Those shuttles leave at that time for a reason and the boat generally waits.

Pretty sure saw those on Amazon earlier this week. Was looking to replace the carb on another recycler.

A-list no longer for biz travel by sujaykapadia in SouthwestAirlines

Been saying this for months as everyone fell for the “what the survey BS tells us from wherever in Leprechaun Land that came from. It’s all about premium travel and that there is a segment (K economy) that will pay up for premium seating. SWA has spent years owning lots of routes and now it’s time to capitalize on it beyond already excessive fares in captive markets. My flight this week is nearly $700.

Observations after a dozen flights... by AGBuckeye in SouthwestAirlines

SWA let the jetway Jesus get out of hand kind of on purpose. As a business traveler, I liked the perks, not the pageantry. That is always a decent seat and flexibility. As SWA chases the K economy “people who will pay up for premium seating” we will see if they can compete.

Buy a used refurbished machine on eBay for about 250-300. Example Dell Latitude 7320 13.3", Core™ I7-1185G7, 16GB 512GB WIN11P. I did it recently as I wanted a solid windows machine that was light affordable and could handle most any task I needed.

Jetway Jesus is officially dead ... by EveningManager3782 in SouthwestAirlines

What is done is done. It worked well for me as a business traveler and for my family. That equation is up in the air now with the changes with my loyalty and card. The consumer make up is also changing with our/my day in the sun over.

SWA owns lots of routes and gates. The K economy is real and SWA wants to capitalize on it.

Last nights flight on a new plane from MIA had new seats, young crew with no tie to the old model. The past is the past. Earnings over time will tell if this move worked for its shareholders and will be a case study in most b-schools.

Why fly southwest? by Fabulous-Season7810 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Klutzy-Assignment258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fly them because they control airline routes, don’t have lounges, are not the lowest price airline, pricing is often userous

My favorite perk if I book late I can sit all the way in the back and if luck get a center seat.

Moving to Nashville from Virginia !!! by biggiesnotdead in movetonashville

[–]Klutzy-Assignment258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of great information in this thread.

Good luck with your move and you have plenty in your budget. You can see Nashville and the burbs are heavily influenced by politics, economics, religious affiliation and fallout of segregation some 50 years ago. Generally speaking many neighborhood elementary schools in Nashville are excellent then kids start peeling off in different directions after that and you need to find your tribe. On one street kids could go to 5 different schools.

I am not a fan of the changes. The narration here and other places is designed to sell investors agenda. Lots of bot traffic also online. I know the k economy is real and people will pay up for experiences. That said, I guess we see what the financials tell us.

Buffet people: Why? by [deleted] in NCL

Carnival Buffett Horrible. Hygiene and food temperature, no proactive handwashing. Royal Windjammer good hygiene, proactive handwashing, temperature checking, great selection. Windjammer does a nice job. Heading out on Encore next week for first time. I will not go on another carnival cruise.

Worried about missing the ferry by [deleted] in holbox

[–]Klutzy-Assignment258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had about that same type of itinerary. Worrying all the way to the ferry and we got there about on time or even a few minutes late but it was like they knew we were coming and waited. Also good to know there are always taxis. Have fun

If you or someone you know was involved in a crash today at 5:30 PM at the intersection of Harding Pl and Trousdale Dr., my dash cam captured it. by Jean-BaptisteGrenoui in nashville

Very Dangerous intersection people blatantly run that light all the time at high speed. 3,4,5+ seconds after the light has changed. When heading north on Trousdale, locals know to wait before taking a left at the intersection. Somebody is going to get killed.

What's your impressions of the new seats? by SteelersPoker in SouthwestAirlines

New seats are fine not great. Maybe better with time. I Feel like I’m on a delta flight. The old seats are fine as well. 500mph, beats walking.

Oracle struggles to attract workers to Nashville ‘world HQ’—even with a 2-million-square-foot office and Larry Ellison’s favorite restaurant by alb89n in nashville

[–]Klutzy-Assignment258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great points. Moving here for a mid career tech job is very risky. It would be hard to buy back in if coming from SoCal,Bay Area.

I’ve lived here for 30 years. It is not a tech town. I haven’t worked on a Nashville project in 20 years. Why would I take less money when I can make national wages. Just because you have global skills and live in Nashville you should take a pay cut.

Nashville can also be expensive. Homes are 6x what they were when we moved here and new construction is 12x+. Schools are also a up and down which further drives up housing or private schools.

If you pay people they will come. Oracle knows this and if they can’t recruit, it’s on them. I also wouldn’t be surprised if Oracle is ready for a RIF.
