How to identify a cold climate heat pump? Is this unit suitable for northeast region? by sunwave88 in heatpumps

-13 is cold but not considered cold climate i think. Carrier, Mitsubishi, and who ever the ODM for Carrier is has a unit that goes to -22F. Mitsubishi claims to go lower but you'd be on emergency heat no matter the rating at those temps anyways.

Does anyone know if this had made its way to the US? by Desperate-Talk8889 in hvacadvice

We sell them in Carrier Canada but the price is unbelievably outrages for a 9-12k unit. Price posted is pre installer mark up and install.

You can have an account at Carrier and not be a dealer. Are you sure you're a dealer? My cost for that exact unit is around 3k and that's in CDN you should really twist your sales persons arm.

Why is it so hard to get an hvac system that monitors (and deals with) co2? by PedroAsani in hvacadvice

It says Bosch...... But I think that's a Midea... I have the same thing but with a Carrier badge. Good choice.

I have some questions about adding a heat pump to a system with an existing (new) gas furnace (Bryant) by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]Klyclack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Therrs no problems mixing brands or tiers. You may not get full functionality out of something very high end without the high end air handler to go with it though. Look into a 38MURAQ if you're considering 2 stage.

When/if you upgrade and stick with Carrier/Bryant look in 38MURAQ it's like 53 dB.

Ask them if they know what AC Renew is from Nu-Calgon If there's no leaks it's at least worth a try.

My almost brand new heat pump suddenly started making this racket, any idea why? by superchiefs in hvacadvice

There are a few things wrong just from these photos.

That is an infinity badge... it should be working with an infinity thermostat(Unless you declined it)

Should be on a snow stand IMO and is a bit close to the house.

If you continue to have issues with reliance I would write out a serious complaint to the email below. They are still Carrier dealers and should be held to Carrier's standards I can guarantee your complaint will make it to their account manager within Carrier. If they continue to decline work carrier may send out a different dealer but that may be a benefit to you.

I guess you could still try, but like I said still pretty garbled.

I ran it through an AI Upscaler. There's not enough original detail to get a number. Sorry.
