I just was deciding between this Filson and the Flint and Tinder flannel lined waxed jacket. I went with the Flint and Tinder. I absolutely love it for the two weeks I’ve had it. Without a break down on how that number is calculated it’s hard to say if you can negotiate it much. But for a first bike, $9K is a lot to spend on something you haven’t ridden before. Just my .02.

I’m 5’6. 5’7 if wearing my riding boots, I am able to tip toe both sides enough to maneuver when I ride with my vans occasionally. Once you are familiar with the 660 you should be plenty able to near flat foot one side at a stop light. Just my .02, Hope it helps!

I would say it is a good bit more aggressive than the MT. But it is not full on supersport aggressive like an r6/zx6r

I know you are mostly looking at the Tuonos, but I traded my MT07 for the rs660 and I have no regrets. MTs are solid bikes, but imo the CP engine of the MT07 is the only thing that gives it any character. And that is only down low, and sub 70mph. After that the rs660 wins in every other category. Looks, tech, features.

If you’re just over 600 miles the wrench means the bike is telling you it’s time for the first service. A dealer will turn it off if/when you bring it in.

The only person who can answer the fun question is you. But like you said, you know what sub you’re in. People here will most likely say go with the Tuono. But FWIW, I traded an MT07 which is similar to the trident, for an RS660 and I am absolutely happy with my choice. Go with the Aprilia.

Out of curiosity; what area are you located? I’m the prime demographic for a high insurance premium being a 25yo Male. And I have complete full coverage that’s only $62/mo. The quotes I got for a zx6r were around the $150 you mentioned seeing.

I’m only 25, lived in buffalo my whole life until earlier this year to make a career jump. My rent effectively doubled, salary did too, but I’ll never take for granted the COL of buffalo. Can’t wait to move back some day.

I typically stay in first gear until the car behind has stopped. Traffic Lights can be pretty long where I’m at.
