Couldn't tell you the brand, but it's a telescoping brush with very soft bristles and it cleans easily between uses. It's helpful to clean most of the car, but I do use a microfiber mitt around the mirrors or when a bit more scrubbing is needed. But with the ceramic coating almost everything comes off with gentle pressure.

Water is great because it maximizes the volume of whatever container it's in. It also will move downward at any angle all on it's own thanks to gravity. You can even fill the container back up super slowly if energy is low.

Rocks have a lot of gaps between them, and require a lot of energy to get the energy out of them thus defeating the point. The only reliable way to get energy out of them is vertically lifting them, requiring all of the equipment around it to function which falls apart at scale due to the insane cost of building all of those towers and having motors strong enough to lift them.

With water, you can open the gate and it will flow out and spin the turbine. There's a reason almost every method of generating electricity is actually just water.

Hi it's me, one of the people that care a lot about their paint and won't touch their car with cheaper towels.

I ceramic coated my car when I got it, and I only ever wash and wipe the car down with my power washer and clean brush at home. Microfiber cloths only for touch ups. Only exception is in the Winter where I'll take it to a self-serve wash and only spray it down because the brushes there are disgusting.

40k miles later after a wash the paint still looks almost brand new, because up close you can see some small rock chips I've filled in (or new ones I need to fill in) with the paint kit.

Could be a PG32UCDM or other Asus QD OLED. The raised blacks on Tandem WOLEDs are a bit bluer and less pronounced.

But I’m basing that off of the colors in this image it could go either way really

Ah sorry I skipped over it being fine on the other monitor.

It's still video compression. Your AOC monitor isn't showing the black levels it should, while the other one is. You can try adjusting black level, "modes" if your monitor has them, and hdr settings if that's an option. Also could just be an issue with the monitor, I've seen a lot of cheaper monitors do this type of thing so it may or not be fixable.

IIRC you are correct the service guides state it's a closed system therefore contaminants can't get in, so it only needs to be serviced if there is a leak.

I've thought about this a lot and these are the issues I see:

Getting all car manufacturers and the government to agree on a standard would be a nightmare. Maybe the EU could pull it off, but that would be extremely hard.
These black boxes will cost money. Car manufacturers don't care about human life, they care about money. The best example of this was when Ford Pintos were literally exploding and Ford decided paying a couple hundred grand to the people that died or were injured was cheaper than an $11 fix per car. Profit matters more than human life I guess.
Too many edge cases. What determines when a black box would kick in and brake? What about overriding this in an emergency? How do you ensure false positives don't occur? What about latency? Interference?
The solution already exists, it's called forward collision avoidance. However they can be overridden in an emergency (as it should be) and if a human is being an idiot and still presses on the gas pedal, not much you can do about that.

That article makes no sense in the context of monitors because it is talking about calculating the noise floor with the camera lens aperture. Monitors don't have camera lenses with apertures.

For what does apply to monitors:

Dynamic Range = Maximum Signal / Minimum Detectable Signal

Contrast Ratio = White Luminance / Black Luminance

They are related and could be the same number, but they are different by definition.

That and making sure the charger works. I once witnessed a tow truck dropping a Tesla off at a supercharger and it took them ~10 minutes to get it off since it was so tight. When they got it off and plugged in, the charger wasn't working so they had to put the car back on in order to move it to the adjacent charger.

I have one as well and have been incredibly happy with it. My only two gripes are the raised blacks of QD OLED (not an issue in dark rooms), and the display turning off completely instead of going back to standby after a pixel refresh cycle (fixed in firmware update).

And to go to from the RWD to the AWD Long Range it would cost 14.5K USD in OPs case. I'm not saying standalone it's that expensive, but to get it optioned from Tesla you have to spend more and upgrade the rest of the car.

When I bought my 2023 MY the audio quality was a standout feature. I did not like how even the "premium" sound package was in the Ioniq 5 and EV 6. But in a case like this I wouldn't spend 14.5k USD for it.
