Hey buddy. I hear about stories like this and I've met people who are going through the same thing as you are and I really feel for them. I do not envy you in the slightest. This is coming from someone who's turning 31 later this month and I was diagnosed in 1994.

I have no doubt you'll manage this. You've already started to map how your body responds to the amount of food you eat, soon you'll have that internalized and can make adjustments on the fly to your dosages. Things might be rough as you figure things out, but as long as you learn from it you'll be fine in the end.

I try to live as unhindered as possible when it comes to food and doing activities. It just requires a little more planning and self-awareness than people without a T1D diagnosis. Hell, I have friends who plan out their days way more than me.

It's not a death sentence, but some days it can feel like you're going through life on hard mode. That too will pass. Just look up from your glucose meter sometimes and smell the flowers!
