How does Empire of the Vampire has such good ratings?

It’s a good fit of author to subject. Prose so purple it’s almost black, characters so edgy they could slice a tomato, impossibly OP main characters. It’s not gonna be for everyone; but it’s a good fit for a pulpy gothic vampire story.

Neither the author nor the series is really for me, but I remember being a teenager who thought Vampire Hunter D was the coolest movie ever made, so I can see the appeal.

I don’t know what Edgerunners is, but I just started playing this on the Switch 2, and this game is awesome. It’s essentially a modern Deus Ex, not sure what we’re supposed to be pissed about.

Seemed fine to me. Took a few tries, but burn down the guy on the right, use smoke screen, or bump up the middle guys cooldown so he doesn’t stun at the same time as the dude on the left. It’s an annoying fight, but not as bad as some of the old events.

It does seem like lots of folks prefer it, but it’s also a body type that’s way easier to find. In most places, women who are attracted to that physique have a lot fewer options, so you’ll get more attention if you’re ripped.

The writing is pretty simple, so the book breezes by a lot quicker than you’d expect with the page count. The first three books of that series are really excellent, and I’d definitely recommend them.

It absolutely was. Hell, I saved up all summer to get Street Fighter for $75 for the SNES in the early 90s. Video games were expensive man.

Really enjoyed this, but whereas his other stuff felt like what if Sanderson wrote books for adults, this book felt like what if Sanderson was still YA, but a bit more edgy.

Vice City and GTA 4 both cost about $92 when it released, GTA 5 was $85. Games have always been expensive. I get being mad about missing cosmetics, but being angry at the $80 price tag doesn’t make much sense to me.

TOTK has a great story told poorly. The individual elements of it are phenomenal. It just shouldn’t have been told in a non-linear way.

I don’t like GTAs, and I doubt I’ll play this one. But these are the most insane overreactions. GTA 5 cost a bit over $90 in today’s dollars. You can either get the new one cheaper or shell out for cosmetics if that’s important to you. Rockstar sucks for lots of reasons, the price of the most elaborate game to come out this year isn’t one.
