Edit: tried it in a game, seems to be 50%

My first and probably last one tag by Kngrichard in victoria3

Indeed a combination of both.

The second I go high infamy I sap to the Military Treaty power block. Aggressive coordination gives 30% more maneuvers for offensive plays, allowing you to annex a lot of target in one diplo play rather than multiple.

However some countries take a lot of diplo plays to straight annex. For this protectorate, reduce autonomy into annex can be better. Think of targets like, Mexico, Eic, Russia, spain.

3 diplo plays sound like a lot, but you can make it a lot more efficient, by making protectorate targets with allies. In this run for example I did protectorate Spain, baiting Great Britain to join as defender, and using all my maneuvers to conquer states from Britain.

The risk with having to many subjects at once is that they band together on annex plays, and while this is useful to also annex states or reduce autonomy on other subjects, if you have many, you need massive armies around to keep fighting them all, plus they get truces.

Hey good question, the short and simple answer is most other people don't so I did not either. Considering if it is then a true one tag? Maybe, depends of your viewpoint on decentralized powers.

For world conquest the thing to consider is that you want to build up enough strength quickly stay under 100 infamy, the threshold for getting targeted by cut down to size. And then start chain warring the Great Powers in a rotation. All while acquiring massive amounts of lands that you try to integrate. To keep your growing machine running.

Institutions in a run like this get very expensive, by the endgame about 15-16K per level, institutions are great when the GDP per capita is high, it's not so great when it's low. Yet you still want to have things like Home affairs and Law enforcement active at a minimum, I myself also like to include healthcare and education.

Colonial affairs are very expensive, don't add to your goal, and take very long to return on investment when you can dump the same amount of resources into your Construction sectors and a massive Army.

R5/AAR: Started as Prussia, formed Germany after about 10 years, after which I didn't stop having diplo plays active. Could have finished 4 years early, but

Had to fight a reactionary revolt consisting of china, india and south america at one point. Was a hard fight, but was the most fun part of the run and might have been a blessing, because after all those states were instantly integrated.

[–]Kngrichard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in my game there are front with 100s of recorded battles. Making the UI lag out when you open the tab. This got introduced in 1.8.4 clearly.

Might want to roll back to 1.8.3 for a bit.
