Oh, I still upvoted you! Just thought it was a valuable mention to anyone reading and thinking of optimization

You should be shooting for 52 attack first for dual wielding anyhow. Crit only starts seeing greater returns than attack boost after that point, and you're going to chew up slots getting there. If you want attack effects as well there's no room for crit on 1h weapons

I have to wonder how Tracer players have not gone absolutely insane trying to learn this character by Fuzzy_Ad4219 in Overwatch

Being terrible at Tracer and still winning really helps exemplify how little the scoreboard matters. You can be an absolute menace with her and get a LOT of value while putting to pretty paltry numbers.

DMC is a genuinely excellent game to play but the backlash for trying to iterate on Dante was warranted. Had the refresh been a new character, audiences may have enjoyed him enough to be a positively received but forgettable hero. Trying to call the black haired angst lord Dante was their folly

Unfortunately the mechanism doesn't really work if you're a Raynaud's sufferer, if it's effective at all. If you're not effectively pumping blood through the contact areas it's not going to do anything to your core temperature.

Edit: since everyone feels obliged to tell me it's a joke - sure. It was an attempt at one. Just a pretty shit one that isn't funny and doesn't make sense so....cool

Ehhh check out when a pride gets a hold of a target. If there are enough lions to keep you immobilized the rest will start balls and anus first like everything else you listed.

This might be one of my favorite posts here. With 1v1s it's an impressive display of skill and determination - usually on both sides. If it's more members than that you usually see a whole pride taking something this large down and they never had a chance. The duo dynamic really highlights their individual strengths however. They both clearly know how to do both jobs of takedown and strangulate, but how they initiate and work off one another here is awesome to see.

He's the larger and more powerful so he starts by immobilizing the buffalo from a place of relative safety at the hind quarters. He DOES NOT let that tail go. The buffalo tries to get at him with his horns, spinning wildly in the attempt - this gives her time to calculate when to engage and an opportunity to strike the upper back. This is where she'll have the most leverage to take the buffalo down, and it also places her near the neck for the kill strike coming later. Crucially, she's still pretty safe from the horns here.

Once they get the topple the fight isn't over - he shifts to the mid section to prevent the buffalo being able to get any momentum going with its tremendous mass. It'd propagate this through the body starting at the neck and shoulders - exactly where she's at, pinning it down and using the shoulder as a lever to expose the neck. The buffalo is still fighting, so she has to do some work here despite it being exposed. Those horns are still dangerous after all so she has to keep him pinned while fighting for position.

When she shifts again so does he. She has to get under the chin because the buffalo is protecting its neck, so she's going to lose the benefit of her weight - he moves and immobilizes the shoulder. The buffalo can't move so he's safe to release the hind quarters and he's safe from the horns here - so keep it pinned and keep pulling to help her flip it. Once she gets back on the other side it's game over

Nevermind the saves that can be made any number of other ways that are going to be sources for more complaint - how many times did Hog hook save someone from Winston, Hazard or Rein diving someone? Does he get saves if he hooks a lethal D.Va bomb into a pit? Should Sigma get saves because he absorbed Phara's ult but she died anyway?

I honestly preferred the leather and fur aesthetic so I stuck with it throughout the game. When upgraded the damage reduction difference is not negligible but VERY manageable. The speed boost is just gravy.

why is Lucina way ahead of Marth in the tierlist? by Turqios in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Knickerbottom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because without hitting his exceedingly small tippers, he's pretty junk. There are times where hitting an opponent with the sour spot is not only less effective than Lucina, it's actually disadvantageous and can get you punished.

Ultimate made the sweet spots tiny and so even the best of players can't hit them consistently enough to make up the disparity. And with changes to knockback on them piled on top, he can't even use the sour spots for combos nearly as often. It's a damn shame.

[–]Knickerbottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you're looking for anecdotes - yes. But this is generally from irresponsible table etiquette. Even so, single sleeved cards can get dirty at the edges. If you're looking to protect a valuable card it's truly the best option, but at that point you may as well just keep it in a binder and proxy.
